Privacy act?
I found the privacy act next to useless many years ago when I made a complaint to the Privacy Commissioner about a clear breach of my privacy by the police.
Not only did I have to show that they breached my privacy, but also I had to show how this had detrimentally affected me. If there were no negative consequences of them breaching my privacy, the Privacy Commissioner closed down the complaint.

To me, it looks like she has accepted reality, and taken the sensible path of not trying to revile the whistleblowers. Key, on the other hand, is showing a remarkable lack of nous in even saying a single word about the issue.

Many people in employment access "WINZ" (who are now called Work & Income) support. Work & Income provide benefits for people in employment that include: the accommodation supplement, childcare support (paid directly to childcare providers if parents earn under a certain amount), and community services cards.
Regardless of the purpose for being there, waiting times at Work & Income are long. Maybe Ira had something he wanted to download onto his USB stick and didn't bring a laptop? Plenty of possible reasons.
Now that I've answered that question, maybe we could all switch our attention off the messenger (where the spin doctors are directing us to look) and back onto the message?

I call the website "her blog" because it runs on Serendipity which calls itself a "weblog application". If the point wasn't in the distinction between "her blog" and "her website", then I missed it.
Is that copy of the website a record of a modification to the live site or is it limited to the copy?

Yep, sadly pretty much the default attitude from those who should serve us. Things are so broken this could be a wonderful opportunity to rebuild from the ground up - evidence from Christchurch says no.
And no harm no foul when you have a 600+k a year CEO to fall on their swords for you because as you and I know, no one from Cabinet going to be ousted for anything this millennial cycle.
I applaud in a twisted way this Govt. that it has so twisted the democratic landscape to such a catastrophic fail level and yet still retain their grip on power and all it's perks - pure awe.
Oh and the creepy thing? I almost feel a little worried writing this, yes, they are that creepy. -

I'm pretty sure "but" is a conjunction, not a negation. It's logically equivalent to "and", just has a different tone.

Yeah nah.
Try it out some time, fail safe in most truth distorting situations. Used often by media trained people. I was there and it may have happened but I cannot remember if it did.
I hear what you're saying but I can't answer. You're logic is irrefutable but I cannot understand why you say that.
And so on but your understanding may be at odds with mine. -

The second just brings attention to the incongruity of the two parts. But it still asserts both of them are true.
