My sister-in-law Frances Maplesden owns a house just down the road, available for renting for holidays at a reasonable rate, I think it can be found on the web as Maples Den, Collingwood,

I saw that place. Very pleasant along that Collingwood waterfront, but not really a swimming beach.

Now that the other Pohutukawa have stopped flowering, our two dwarf Pohutukawa have started putting on a show. They flowered a few months ago, then took a break, but have decided to put on another burst of blooms.
