So, with or without my advocacy, Stephen Donald is back in the ABs! We shall see.... Generally, though, not a very exciting selection and rather same-old?

I really hope this is last chance for him in the black jersey.

Domestic form is all well and good, but he has a pretty good track record of that not making it through to the black jersey. That's the last thing we want at the world cup.

  • Hard News: Morning in Auckland,

Martin I have copys of my "life-time" drivers licence and a "life-time" fire-arms licence. Both of these were changed at the whim of the Government.

And its the whim of the Government which decides how confidential the census info is ......................

All three of those things are governed by legislation, so parliament is what you're looking for. So not so much 'whim of the government', as 'vote of your elected representatives'.

And good to see kyle hold politicians in such honorable regard.

Actually no. I just decided that this has descended to the level of mocking you. Given the number of scientists and social scientists who work on the census, among other things.

Kyle, how much? The exchange rate is pretty good right now.

Quote me for roughing him up in a literary type manner, but you have to be dressed as the Gruffalo. With the tail, and the claws, and the eyes.

No real bruises, but I want him to be sufficiently emotionally traumatised that he's nervous going into the children's sections of book stores from now on.

A bonus if you can make one of the Gruffalo books Bob's favourite.

  • Regulate What?,

The PM broke the name suppression law himself to find out the name of an accused performer and hasn't been prosecuted for it, maybe there is a Rotary clause?

I believe it's not illegal to gossip about the names behind suppression laws. It's publication that will have you pulled up beside whaleoil in court.

"I thought this book sucked for reasons I can't express in any concrete sense, and I really hated the bit about the Gruffalo, which was the entire fucking thing."

You shouldn't say this out loud just after reading it. Bob will be sad. And me, obviously. Actually don't say it on the internet either. I'll pay for Jolisa to come hurt you.

Also, I'm on nodding terms with Dion Nash, so, nah.

You didn't consider the possibility that people more famous than you just nod at anyone who stares at them?

Y'know "yeah, I'm Dion Nash, hey howyadoing"?

Do they do that with other supposedly live free-to-air coverage?

I remember watching one of the games during the 1999 Rugby World Cup (which conveniently ran back to back on TV very nicely). At half time they had a highlights clip in an advert for their coverage which included a play which turned out to be from the second half of the game.

    Live coverage my butt.
