Prevalent among politicians (English, Hide, Harawira etc), the directors of failed finance companies who continue to build enormous mansions and drive flash cars, and failed former politicians who would like to slash government spending and tax so they can keep more of their loot.

I hope the not so subtly coded supersonic race-baiting we've seen from Labour recently is going turn out to be a polling flop, and end up being quietly forgotten... Win-win-win, to dredge up another ghastly cliché.
Agreed, and my other hope is that when Labour finally wake up to reality and accept that Goff is unelectable, they will dump him and their new leader will firmly distance the party from Goff's reprehensible race-baiting rhetoric.

Some great coinages here, but from the nominations so far, my vote goes to "Sorry". Sorry if anyone disagrees, but that's your problem. Sorry.
Another one churned out constantly is "Ishoozaround". There are no longer problems or obstacles or factors or features or advantages or disadvantages or any of those previously useful nouns. They're all dead.
There are only Ishoozaround ... everything.

My nominations so far are going to Icetralia, Teabagging, Glibertarian and the splendidly sneeze-like Ishoozaround.
I've also noticed lately the increased presence of the word stakeholders. Once upon a time you might have heard that someone was consulting parties affected or parties concerned - now they only consult people who have some kind of metaphorical shareholding in an issue. Presumably the concerned but not sufficiently 'stakeholding' (according to some definition) can shove off.
So stakeholders get listened to, but the rest of us get something else, which brings me to my own coinage of insultation - the political process of seeking a wide range of views concerning an already decided future course of action.
Can I throw in a late vote for Prominent Entertainer?

Nice. As well as indicating contempt for, erm... stakeholders, it also carries connotations of insulating the decision from accusations of lack of consultation.

I'd like the phrase it's knowledge, bro to receive some consideration from the judges. But I also think that denier has a lot of resonance at the moment.
