  • chris,

Perhaps they could have a liberal american pilot suggesting changing the name to Trigger on grounds of inappropriateness only to be rebuffed as a revisionist/denier (what have you) who should take some responsibility for his country's contemporary civil rights issues.

"change your damn country before coming round here trying to change my dog..........you cute!"

  • Russell Brown,

So you're asserting his dimness has to do with the non-Samoan part?

    Racist.

    Damn. Where's my media trainer?

  • Craig Ranapia,

And what would Friday be without a YouTune? Mr. Stone, if you and the family would play us out...

  • Damian Christie,

Ha, Craig, that was going to be the title of the post, then I wondered how many people wouldn't get the reference and would be offended on behalf of either group (a constant issue on PAS...)

  • Damian Christie,

Which reminds me of a great gag by a comic at this year's comedy festival (Andrew O'Neill, I think) on reclaiming the phrase "I'm not being racist, right..."

How do I do the embedding here so it shows the video?

Oh okay. Just doesn't show up in preview. Or something.

I hear you, cracker -- I almost asked Glynis to lay a bit of this over a PAR piece I did on Hone-gate but (for once) let taste and sensitivity win out. Kind of regretting it now... :)

Hey, I take exception to that

Yep. I think that shows it's working. Or something.

But now that you can edit a post it doesn't matter all that much if you get it wrong :-)

  • David Ritchie,

    Cynic

Obnoxious hipster threadjack: Judah Friedlander (i.e. "Frank" from 30 Rock) who's in that DMB video played the lead in the "Eagle vs. Shark" when it was workshopped at Sundance.

FWIW, Homer described Menelaus and Achilles as red-headed.

And Judah appeared alongside Kevin Bacon and Cliff Curtis in the 'Film Dreamers' segment for Sundance 2005.

That's only 4 degrees of Kevin Bacon. Sundance is in Utah though, speaking of threadjacks.

    You would. :)

As like a PAS demi-god or something, I always have been able to edit posts. Which no doubt raises some questions as to why I've said some of the dumb shit I've said. Has the power now been extended to the proles? Sniff, how will I know I'm special now?

(But if so, that's awesome, long overdue and no doubt much appreciated).

It has. But you do still have the epithet "Moderator" under your avatar... and I guess that will have to do

  • Michael Holt,

"I can say that, right? Coffee-coloured? I love coffee. Who doesn't?"

Actually I don't like coffee at all.

Although some coffee-coloured things, and people too, can be quite nice.

We still only get 15 minutes right? Whereas the Mods get like, forever?

My 'dumb-ass' alert meter seems to go off at about 15 minutes 30 seconds. Can't we get a 'you've been a dick' extension?

    Oh crap.

Given the last two words of your comment Recordari, I'm really glad we don't have context sensitive google ads on this site.

  • recordari,

Yeah sorry. True to form I guess. If it's any consolation, if you type the last four words of my post into google, this blog is number two.

    Sorry, again.

  • Bart Janssen,

(unlike, say, Christian Cullen, who could hold his own in conversation with Wittgenstein)

Actually part-Samoan, not that that has anything to do with his rather dim bulb ...

Does anyone know if he ever did find the Eiffel tower on his trip to London?

  • Damian Christie,

They might not be cool, but they're not so uncool that a cool person can't cover them. Which might make them cool.

(Worth a listen cos it's actually quite damn good and I play it all the time...)
