And Ben, enormous effort has been put into dealing with li'l p/conseismal here, which Russell has already stated on this thread, and it would be nice if you took him at his word, instead of simply assuming everyone was over-reacting. Some of his posts which I've deleted from threads of mine were by a very long chalk the most vile repulsive things I've ever seen written here. Nothing else even comes close. No, we don't have the power to exclude him, or we would have done it. Can you please accept this?
That's alright. I just found myself in this discussion and one can assume that I thought about it for a while. Regarding the situation Russell's and your reactions were good.

a)they are extreme - eg anti-abortionists who try to prevent women having abortions;
b) religious people proslytising in an aggressive way (this does happen here, every so often.)
c) are litigiously aggressive (cult-of-scientology - I'm reluctant to put this lot under a religious heading, but they insist they are - not actually officially recognised as such in ANZ.)They are neither of those. But good to here that it is not general practice to give religious people the weired look.

That is not relevant to the point. The criticism is not that you are an “outsider”, but that you are new, and yet chimed in on an issue that you yourself said you didn’t have knowledge on and wasn’t what you were purportedly interested in discussing.
That was a response to another topic.

Also, as you say yourself, you are interested in staying on topic. So wouldn’t it have been better to lead by example, and perhaps held your tongue on the “trolling dabate”, the history of which you admitted that you had no knowledge about?
It was such a broad argument that it WAS the topic of this forum for a while.

I don't see that as threat at all. You notation fits quite nicely in the picture that is drawn of the community in here. I just don't see any reason for that.

After all, I didn't tell anyone what to do. Just stated my opinion about dignity and that referred to an earlier post. You might read it again. But for me that is a story that was finished as conseismal got kicked out.

In some pockets of New Zealand, maybe it'll demonstrate to a few that it's okay to reject religion, if they want to, without becoming a social outcast.
That really makes me wonder. I thought New Zealand is quite secular country. Some people even told me that it sometimes might create problems if they would show their faith publicly.

No, I really don't expect that. You can curse and threat as long as you want. It is your image and your energy that are used in that fight.
As long as I can say what I mean, I don't regret.
But Giovanni, is it really necessary to mention that and to show me that I am an outsider in your community?
