The Herald, doing what it does best.

  • Alfie,

More an observation than anything... the Herald is testing a new site design. I'm not sure about the huge LHS nav bar taking up a quarter of the screen. It's apparently designed primarily for mobiles.

  • Brent Jackson,

It is ghastly to use on a PC. So much so, I am not going to bother any more.

That was the feedback I gave them. It's like the online version of tabloid v broadsheet but worse.

The beta seems to have subsumed the original - as I can no longer get anything but the stark beta.

  • Geoff Lealand,

I can't seem to find a suitable thread so I will post this naked promotion here:

Auckland folk may be interested in catching a film I co-produced, screening as part of Doc Edge Auckland this Friday at Q Theatre (in Shorts 2, 2.30pm June 2). I will probably do a Q&A after the screening, explaining how this natty little film evolved, whilst its creator Nick Homler was a Fulbright Scholar at Waikato in 2015-16. It is a celebration of small, independent cinemas in New Zealand, and the people who run them.

    ...and its name is:
The Reel People of New Zealand

sadly the documentary festival does not venture beyond the North Island

Many thanks, Ian. I obviously left off the important bit. I am a bit of twit sometimes!
I am exploring the possibly of further screening around the country, especially in those cinemas which feature in the film.

  • Brent Jackson,

Even RadioNZ is not immune :

It is the first time two New Zealanders have shared the winners' podium since Bruce McLaren and Bruce Amon's triumph in 1966.

Is your name not Bruce then ?
    No, It's Chris.
Mind if we call you Bruce to save confusion ?
