  • Steve Barnes,

    Has anyone elsegot this problem?
    EOS 1000D
Canon EOS utility does not start when connecting camera.
It used to work fine until a couple of weeks back. Windows update I suspect, bloody Microstuffed.
Now when I plug in the camera nothing happens and I have to start the utility manually, not a real problem but it is messing with the storage order.
In the preferences there is a check-box for "Automatically start EOS Utility when camera is connected" but the setting won't stick.
This only happens on the desktop, not the laptop (Laptop is set to ignore windows update)

Also my A470 just refuses to put images where they are supposed to go as I cant get the system to do anything other than open it as a folder and i have to drag and drop files and create folders each time.
    Any clues?.

Tokyo Tower. Holga WPC120 pinhole f138, ~20-40mins?. That bright streak in the center is the full moon traversing the frame, and if you look carefully you can make out the writing around the 'lens' reflecting on the hotel window through which this was shot.

Great shots Michael. Thanks for dropping in, and please feel free to post more.

    20-40 min exposures are impressive.

That reminds me… to go out and get a neutral density filter.

Yep, I've been thinking about those too.

This is a pic of Alabama 3 at Fiddlers Bar last night. This shot got me banned for life. I sat on the floor to take it. I guess I got too close. Plus, the Manager was a grumpy .....

Not when you've worked your Photoshop magic on it over in the Cut Collective thread. That magnificently malignant pit & the pendulum plummeting moon looks as if it's made of plutonium.
