  • Southerly: How I Became a Grumpy Old…,

Beautiful work David, not quite sure which, is best, your writing or your beautiful joinery skills
    Very impressive

  • Hard News: Polls: news you can own,

It intrigues me that the Green vote in the past has not reflected the various poll results, in that it is lower
Which if you think their supporters are young and connected would knock on the head the theory that polls underestimate those who don't have

I guess it might because they are at the small end of the spectrum and are subject to swings that all small parties can get but it seems to always overestimated it at the last three elections

  • Up Front: The Kids are All Right,

Sorry Emma but I have to call you on
"We’re also passing on to them, possibly for the first time, a world worse than the one we grew up"
What do think it was like for my parents in 1935 or German kids in 1945

Things are tough now but that is nothing new, what is new is the middle class, middle aged moaning about how everything has gone to the dogs but it isn't their fault and they are reluctant to do anything about it. Further more anyone else but them are going to fix it and pay for it

No wonder young people are cynical

  • Feed: My Life in Curry,

I love spicy food and a bit of chili heat but other than to prove your superiority what is the deal with eating food that hurts going in and apparently hurts going out

  • Hard News: The Web,

It is great to look back and discern how our lives have been changed
Ask Jeeves was one of my list of search engines although hardly the best
It will be interesting to see where it all goes but jeeze there have been some changes when you compare my Amstrad with my present computer of choice a mini ipad retina

  • Up Front: Floodland,

It all sounds just to awful Isabel I cannot imagine how you have stuck it out

I do get a little grumpy at the event being called a 100 year event as if that can't be planned for when in reality it a one in 5 event
A pity the pumping station that allowed development in your area can't be upgraded to deal with the post quake changes

  • Notes & Queries: Little CD in a Prospect…,

Should we be told the method that Charlotte used to end her life?
Other than that my feelings mirror Bart’s and just a pity she did not have just a few more real friends

Does anybody on the Left long for H2 and why has a replacement not been found

  • Hard News: Crashing the party before it starts,

Had to laugh at Bomber's claim that this will be a worry for the National Party
The Internet Party will attract people( young men) who want to stick it to the "man"
Not normally people who vote National or even vote.
I can see a chance this will bleed votes from the Greens

I think you have summed it up well Russell and did well in not falling into the trap Bomber has.
Not many peopled have supped with Dot Com and got away with it
