maybe it's easier to suspend disbelief for a whole fantasy than a partial one?

Saw a Lilly Allen clip on the box last night which was very well done country and western pisstake. Brilliant for the whole fantasy. Just watched that Smashproof one which I didn't like but the girlies were what you do see out on a Saturday night in Auckland and a 21st I went to recently on the Queen St was exactly that. Guys in skater/hip hop/usar lookalike getup. Girls, oh soo fine, stretchy clingy saxy . Tres Orkland for 21.

Looks pretty good considering the vintage of those who've undergone the procedures, but doesn't move very much.

Yes, it was the wrinkles at the side of the forehead compared to the blocks of cheese embedded for frown removal.Add to that the cologen lips and the capped teeth and ...hey presto, isn't so and so looking so youthful these days? Of course that was a guys comment, which confirmed just how much "men" look above the waist. That was when the implants became the conversation. Kinda expressionless expression.;)

Crap, that's terrible news. I don't want to get Sky Digital!

Don't bother. The Colbert Report is the only current programme they have here. We only have nz comedy central of which there is much cringe on my behalf (hence my lower case nz,embarrassing.)

The people-watching wasn't bad either. I rarely get to art events, so it was fun to witness the wealthy, the wise and the weird sluicing back the wine and shouting merrily at each other.

Heh, Yesterday one of the wealthy people commented to me that it was full of "well Known" types and just as much as the art (they look and support lots of it) there was much enjoyment at studying all the botox and cologen. She is a medical woman and by end of conversation we both decided it really wasn't for us.:)

And friends and fans of the Androids

Sometimes I am not up with the 8 ball.Sorry to hear about Steve, and really sorry for your loss Eric. Both good people in my life :( .xxx

    enjoyed the Daily Show tonight

And wasn't the French Finance Minister great? Even slipped a joke by the host.

And, if only everything was reported in French we wouldn't worry so much. Hell, even their Finance Minister is sexy with that sexy accent,as my man commented just as I was thinking same.:)

  • Hard News: Veitch,

I think police have better things to do. There are lots of laws that police don't enforce at times. It's called police discretion

I understand that, but this case was pursued once a complaint was made and my point (albeit as misinformed as i thought I could be) was to highlight how the information was coming via the media and what the public perceive is how the police seem to respond. However, having said that, the police do have a duty to protect, so they could have used their media spokesperson to explain to the public why they would not pursue it because some will start to think and convey that once again, the police are incompetent.

and it means that probably about 90% of the "crimes" that occur in New Zealand aren't prosecuted.

and if this is the reality, then it really isn't worth complaining.and perhaps Dunne Powell had it right in the first place, just take the money. Sad

  • Hard News: Veitch,

What would be gained by the police trying to find out who altered the document, and then prosecuting them? Sounds like a lot of work for not much at all.

Oh pur-leeze! I have seen plenty of "a lot of work for not much at all" What would be gained? How about the people appreciate a mighty fine job done by our "finest". How about women starting to see that, as half of the country, they feel safe because the cops did understand how it feels and deem it worthy of investigation.Dame Susan went on the box to tell reporters that she felt deceived. She wanted to go out guns blazing or some such. What about under Crimes Act section 259, or should we just think, oh, never mind police wont bother enforcing that law, whateva.
