  • Hard News: Going Underground,

it means a hell of a lot to the overwhelming majority of people who actually pay taxes and rates. Wouldn't hurt to be a little less blithely airy-fairy about it, don't you think?

If there was any consistency to caring about our Rates and taxes on behalf of the government and Councils Craig ,I could understand your view, but seeing as I already pay large sums of money in these areas and it is only going up by this Super City concept without the public of Auckland having any say and now the motorway in our backyard, I'll take any saving with a grain of salt.

"John Banks is a cunt" isn't really one of them.

    I'll vote for that. :)

  • Hard News: Going Underground,

Pop down to Stoddard road and you can get a general idea of how much money has already been spent on the Tunnel option. It will cost millions to change this if it changes to surface so can't see any saving anyway.

  • Hard News: Going Underground,

That's a bit harsh Craig. Look forward to the next motorway coming through your backyard.See how you feel then. Look forward to Steven Joyce not fudging the costs of current motorway also.

  • Hard News: Going Underground,

    End of official hat wearing.

Plus also the primary school was another consideration being so close to the new motorway. Christopher, quickly whilst I'm here, just wanted to say good on you for fighting on behalf of the elderly and the disabled with regards to the Sandringham Kiwibank. Could you not try get a mobile service for these people?I imagine the difficulty for the Focus 2000 group and all those wheelchairs getting across St Lukes road.Maybe a "Campbell Live" could bring the difficulties to the attention of someone other than the Kiwibank rep the other day on Bfm.

  • Hard News: Going Underground,

I really pity you Aucklanders with the mess ahead.

Bear in mind there has been construction in this area for several years already and it has been relatively well managed and completed in and around parts of Mt Roskill. It would seem now we are waiting on Steven Joyce. Otherwise what has been finished may end up as the new cycleway.

Re. The Low Spark of High Heeled Boys.I was contemplating why you would include this in your piece David and whilst doing that, I came up with it probably being the very reason I chose (via acid daze) not to go to Uni or to ever wear a suit or female derivative thereof. Thanks for that.Muchly enjoyed the journey back. :)
