And another thing. What's wrong with a Union. Unions help many who find it difficult to express themselves to superiors, just as was pointed out about the person who laid the complaint about Sutton in that fear seems to be amongst the Public service. Fear of losing a job. Unions are there for the people. For fair wages, for friggin tea breaks. We need them, to deal with zero hour contracts, a liveable wage, a voice for the people currently being undermined by this Nactional Government. What's wrong with a Union?
I don't need one and I'm not Maori but I certainly feel comfortable having Unions represent the people. To think otherwise is just stingy.
I'd also like to point out, We vote for Parties .Labour is a group of people all attempting to represent like minded people. All 4 contenders were in Labour because they believe in that Party. Surely now a leader is in place, the support by the other 3 should be a given or it will be seen as 3 who only wanted to be Leader and dam the rest of Labour. I also feel Parker has a forte in Finance and now he's not the Leader, it's a shame he doesn't consider the Partie's need for a good finance person next. It just seems sad. That was Clarke and Cullen's success. Good team work. One didn't want the other one's job. I think Little can organise Labour. I wish them the best. -

Wow, he’s talking UBI. Now I officially actually like him.
And Tolley is looking at superannuation. Will be interesting if she wants to raise the age. Let her get kudos for that I say . MSD needs to save a bundle
Just hope she doesn't do a buster Bennet on beneficiaries. -

Hence, the talk about ditching policy’s that thay them selves have argued, are important.
His view was that voters showed their policies didn't get any support and hence the situation they ended up in and therefore he was choosing to listen to the people. A herald column by Isaac Davison gives some insight into Andrew Little
I also suspect he will be a strong advocate for workers rights and his legal degree has already helped towards assault victims having better rights. He might just have the smarts required to go up against all the other Lawyers in Nactional.
I'm not into personality politics so refuse to believe they have lost the plot before they started. I'm happy to let him make his way and see what becomes of Labour here on in. I don't give a shit whether he's conservative or flamboyant but I would never have either of that as a prerequisite to do the job. sheesh. -
I'm assuming everyone knows Andrew Little is the new Labour Leader?

one hopes John Key might learn from this…
Fat chance of that. He'd have to stop touching all those people when posing for selfies. And think of all those kisses he'd have to curb. The babies too, with the condescending pats. He is already wrong on so many levels he'd have to implode.

I wonder how the victim feels about this public trivialisation of her complaint?
Well I for one would have been happy for the person to share and s/he didn’t have to take a settlement of their arrangement. Bring it on,I say. Plus we got the wife on Campbell live up here . I didn’t see a mother in law. The wife looked pretty bewildered.
Yes it was a swift announced departure (although some time off) and he did accept he was wrong and he did say why he was wrong, which made me more suspicious that his strings were pulled . I must admit, I have called people sweetie because I think they are . I don’t intend to stop because it has been deemed wrong in the workplace and I would prefer to be called sweetie than any number of condescending bullying words I can think of not worthy of print. Has public service really become a textbook of what one can say and are people so scared that they don’t pull offence up immediately ? I’m glad I’m not there.
Did Sutton get on with Brownlee? A swift departure announcement like that always has me suspicious of National pulling the strings to kill 2 birds with 1 stone. So really, what is the timing of all this about?

That's the one . :) I got 5 small bottles of Laphroaig (or as I call it and get called on for it... Lap frog.) home from the Distillery. Although it was late on arrival. The $20 Customs wanted was well worth it. It would seem one will pay $5 an item anywhere and to ship a couple of Kgs to the UK from here is about $400 and that could be pounds, so in all not horrific if you take it upon yourself to send.

Andrea Vance breaks ranks again by describing the process of spin.
Nice, and good on the Greens for proving that John Key treats Government as his plaything Also showing how long it took for the Greens to get their OIA request (while Key is out of the Country talking up how fantastic he is)
