  • Hard News: Blog About Cat,

Well ;) in the Far North, Where Kiwis roam, dogs are a no no but Stella becomes the honorary cat for human reasons. As a cat? Go figure.Thems are the rules. in Kiwi protection land. She is well known for hanging out with all sorts of animals. Not judgemental at all. We got a great photo whilst up there last, of a beautiful Kiwi (on a tiki tour around the front yard), and also Kereru, couple. They are quite friendly :) Lovely photos. If you let dogs out on a blind run, one should be running with them maybe?

  • Hard News: Blog About Cat,

Unfortunately, there has been a large number of instances of dogs - particularly & especially - killing birds in Big O.

I'd suggest that is a sign of neglect. Are ya starving them or something? And how could you suggest Bella would not probably eat birds. She's knows better.:)

dogs dont care really, but cats do-

    Hi Islander. :)
Dogs...shit.. etc but then again Stella does not like tap water (or catching, eating birds).... I respect that. See isn't life so simple? ;)

    @ 3410

some new water and they'll ignore it and go off and guzzle from the saucer of a plant pot.

Not an expert or anywhere close, but as a cat, I'd prefer rain water to tap water. I can smell chlorine in tap water. Can you imagine an animal's senses.and remember dirt doesn't enter the equation.Stella who you know, much prefers the water from the water feature so that is her bowl. No point in another bowl and no point arguing, she's a dog! :)

  • Hard News: Blog About Cat,

what "Do you want to go out?" means. Well, it seems to work ...

Oh, they know fer sure.To attract attention Stella will strum the guitar with her tail, use tail to fan across the bamboo curtain, and jump onto and perch on the bed. all this in the middle of the night. Once you are awake, she nips out to the back door and bangs or barks to go out and repeats to come back in.She also is known to thump one paw. and the full Mutley laugh. She does make me laugh every day. :)

in fact, she watches us in the shower to make sure we're not drowning.

Writing 'bout cool pets.If I suggest a shower to my dog Stella, she goes and sits in the shower and waits to have it turned on. She's soo cool. :)

Pet's are cool Russell. Cool Colin. :)

we've also acquired a cat. we named him quicksilver, because he darts, and talks a hell of a lot.

but... we've discovered that he animal is monumentally stupid.

Some sort of Siamese then, no?

    @ Lucy,
My man's sister has an indoor Siamese and I thought it was the cruelist thing to do to it.Chloe (this cat) got out one day,(we just happened to be visiting), she leapt the tall fence out back into the neighbours backyard and had a ticky tour and was found napping next door. First time the cat had shut up since it moved in, once she was redeemed.

  • Hard News: Still not all that Super?,

Sofie, that's a more constructive sounding McCarten - and the debate sure sounded like an interesting one to be at.

Matt mightn't get it right all the time, (let's face it nobody is perfect) but y'know, .. a tryer innit. and his heart seems in the right place.
I suspect we will hear about the next debate on the b as they did last week. My friend was at the last one and said it was good.Might mozy on up there if Roger Douglas is gonna debate in the next one, although Act supporters can be a pain in the arse. I remember the last time we ended up being harassed by them at the Backbenches election game show in Kingsland but it was to their detriment if I remember correctly. :) So may go.
