But ... you didn't get the memo about Public Address Newspeak, where hereafter "cunt" => "twatcock"?
Interestingly, to me Paul Henry isn't a 'cunt', which implies some sort of competent cunning and nastiness. He's absolutely a 'dick', as it's kind of incompetent, childish behaviour. I get no association at all with 'twatcock', other than it sounds like a sort of small bird.
What this all says about my associations with the words we use for sexual organs undoubtably requires further analysis.

Benji!
Perhaps he'll play here one day?
6 November, vs the Aussies presumably.

And just for fun, Russell: you've been Kiwibuggered! (h/t Danyl)
You didn't quote the best bit Craig (by Danyl on his site):
First they came for Russell, and I did not speak up because I don’t own an iPad . . .

so I don't think you can assume anyone who pronounces it that way is ignorant or hasn't done their research.
I personally wouldn't mind someone who pronounces it as it is written, and even tries to suppress a wee giggle. Not particularly professional, but I couldn't get up in arms about it.
It's returning to it and giggling like a five year old. Whether or not it's racist, it's just incredibly immature and not becoming of being on TV.

Talk about the caption not matching the photo. Unless Bernard Hill suddenly got elected to be our PM.

I do feel a considerable amount of pity - as I did for Tony Veitch - but ultimately his dismissal - as Tony Veitch's was - will be a really good thing for NZ society.
This made me ponder the irony of comparing the two. Veitch lost his job for something that he did that didn't relate to his work at all. Henry is currently holding his job for repeated abuse of his position at work.
Media careers really are strange.

I forsee a student prank next year of enrolling 300 people from one address, and then when they turn up to check having all 300 there waiting for them.

Bugger all Aborigines though, I just never saw them, which always freaked me out a little.
I got the same feeling during my brief time in Canada - Toronto and Victoria. You almost wanted to go ask where they hid the indigenous people away.

It surprises people I talk to overseas when I describe just how non-white NZ truly is.
Dunedin is still pretty white, particularly once you get about 4 blocks from the university. For those that are talking about how white kids are the minority in their childcare, the reverse is definitely still the case here.
An ex of mine from Los Angeles who was a melting pot of ethnicities said it was very noticeable just how white Dunedin was.
