  • Shep Cheyenne,

But the ginga-thing is wider than Celts.

Anyone remember Redhead King Pin - the Afro-American Hip Hop star whos Mom was a Cop,or Chemical Ali - The Iraqis have/had
    a few and Afghanistan too.

There are a few Redhead Maori out there as well, not sure if that's the Celts influence or what.

In my youth I had a thing for Strawberry Blonds, whos names ended in a, Tina, Gina, Victoria,... It was odd, not that I have/had a 'type' it just happened that way.

Us tall people stick out too. Very worrying being different in this way.

    And doorways too.

At last, a revolution I can identify with. It’s tough on here though Che

Because they can’t really go outside much, I guess that gingas are always going to be over-represented on forums and online message-boards etc..

Especially now that summer’s almost here.

  • Lucy Stewart,

We have a lot of Celts in general. As well as a high level of Scottish and irish migration (esp. the former although not I think as great a proportion as Canada) NZ also had a particularly high proportion of West Country migrants - Cornwall and Devon. I learned this when helping to put together a family history a couple of years ago (Hosking is a west country name).

Demonstrated by the fact that we have the highest proportion of Stewarts per thousand people of any country in the world, including Great Britain. (Probably not Scotland, though.)

  • Amy Gale,

4/ All the current leaders of New Zealand's political parties are on a plane. It crashes into the Andes with no hope of rescue for weeks. Whose delicious corpse do you save for last?

I think this question is worth discussing in its own right, because I think your logic is flawed. I think you should eat the most delicious person first.

Ah, see, I think that it's important to consider keeping quality. There is no point saving someone for last if they have the kind of corpse that's going to putrefy before you get to it.

That said, I'm not entirely sure how to judge that (not being especially carnivorous). Are we to make a judgment based on who is closest to a ready-made confit? Or on who is closest to a stick of jerky?

On that basis, you leave Winston Peters for last.

He's already dried up an ancient, and he probably can't taste any worse than he does now.

Oddly, that's the conclusion my partner and I came to discussing this - on the assumption that smoke-and-whiskey flavour would age really nicely.

  • tussock,

1/ They already do, usually for the politicians who are best at pretending to be the same.

    2/ Let it happen.

3/ Less likely to bite me.

    4/ The organic ones, duh.

5/ Jonky. Funnier than when they sat Brash next to Tama Iti.

6/ Bankers are out this summer.

7/ Quarter mile jetboat sprints; too many deaths even for a staunch liberal like myself.

    8/ Lockwood.

9/ Protect their children from them.

10/ All of them; see the Wellington phone directory. PS: full severance plus hired back on a 50% pay rise in the same job with a new name, same as everyone does.

    11/ See above, and below.

12/ The poor people's, because it's cheaper by volume. You're obviously doing far too well for yourself.

    13/ Pioneered the ministerial bicycle.

14/ Pioneered sleeping at parliament so I don't ever have to ride the fscking bicycle.

15/ Led Zeppelin, the instrumental ones.

16/ Idiot, Russel, and Frog. Man-hugs all 'round.

17/ Hmm, the cheese is one of those things I leave other folk to buy, but they were over $10 last I noticed. I get cheap bread for $2, surely that's more common than cheese.
