Not sure what the best word is, but something to do with Trump’s narcissistic inability to accept or admit reality…
(electoral reality, scientific / medical reality, or anything told to him by those who refuse to become or finally get sick of being his lackies - feel free to choose which)

And for my final word ...resilience.
I really wrestled with this, I wanted unprecedented but RJ got that already. Then there are 2 others I really want to put, but they are little phrases and I think the rules say I cant put them in, so I won't add them to my rant here. Someone else will get them.

I thought bubble but we only did bubbles for a short while, even though it seemed like forever, same with lockdown.
Regarding Trump, I'd go with FLAILING.

this year sure has bolstered McKenna's 'Novelty theory'Crown - for the virus and the TV show and a one party govt

Team of five million. I heard a keynote address at a global health conference from a chap in Nova Scotia, and he thought 'team of five million' was brilliant. ForNova Scotia, 'Stay the blazes home' was their rallying cry and it took off in a big way (google it).

And more rarely but entertainingly, 'you're not on mute'.
