    I’m not sure the Lego exhibition at Te Papa was quite worth the ticket price, but it is worth a look.

    Ist January walkabout on Te Ahumairangi Hill in Wellington. Everything abuzzy summer. Butterflies everywhere, Coppers, Red & Yellow Admirals, The Cabbage Whites I snapped were the only ones staying still.

    Always a popular spot on the Wellington waterfront, Taranaki Street wharf attracts all the youthful jumpers. Though, I've never seen anyone dive in yet.

    I bought my daughter this little doohickey that clips over a phone camera to turn the phone into a “microscope”.

    This monstrous-looking red thing is a patch of strawberry skin.

    No great science, nor any great photos, but fun.
