  • Robert Guyton,

Further south, Riverton and the south coast, has seen autumn pass through quite gracefully, with her warmly-tinted leaves and bright fruits; crabapples, quinces and peaches are still on the trees but most of the leaves are fallen. Here's a photograph to show what I mean.

and another attached for your autumnal enjoyment.

Destination Ward Island, a lovely little island about 2 km offshore of Eastbourne. In WWII, there was an anti-submarine boom linking it to the shore.

I've learned a new word: scrying. Will be useful for Scrabble.

Thanks everyone, looks like autumn is still being played out on the water (including rain barrels) and the beaches.

I did find wet autumn leaves on Queen Street in the rain earlier, it wasn’t very pretty though.

I’ll have to cheat for now with earlier autumns….. but keep the orangy toned pictures coming.

In town for a birthday celebration, turns out the Wellington Lux light festival just started. #timing

Edit: Okay, so they weren't 90 degrees off when I looked at them on the phone.
