Thank God for the Internet. Without it I would never have known about such a grand cure for dandruff!
It was what they were advertising wasn't it? A Social sort of disfunction? Oops. Sorry. -
Pleased to hear that Bob is undaunted. The leadership from his parents must be effective.
One of the famous Christchurch architects. (Sir Miles Warren?) was just saying on Nine to Noon that many of those older pre -World War I buildings should have been removed years ago, as they were just cheap basic units built on unsound foundations. He did say that it was a pity that they had to fall in such a fashion. What to replace them with?

In the early 80s my wife chose myalgic encephalomyelitis as her research topic. She approached many authorites on what was usually called Tapanui flu, but in the 80s it was not generally recognised as being a real condition. The symptoms were wide ranging and variable. Treatment was patchy. For instance a common suggestion was that exercise would hasten relapse. Reading all the contributions here show just how much progress has been made in 28 years or so. The internet did not exist then and it is interesting to read of the important part it has played for many now.

After all, you need to hire hole diggers to dig holes and fill them back up (job creation!)
I knew an enterprising farm lad who wanted to set up a business selling post holes to farmers. He did have a problem with packaging. -
You put the contradictions in perspective.
Perhaps Mr McCulley will use his silver tongue to repair the Fiji-NZ differences? -
@ Ross: A bit of scrim on the walls and sparkly lights and tasers and voila!
Tasers? Oh great. Who would get them? -
I visited Auckland for a few days while the America's Cup was on and found the whole waterfront alive and interesting. Why should the RWC need a special John Key Monument? What's wrong with the existing bars and spaces?

My eldest son wrote nothing right through Primary School yet he was passionate about books. As a late bloomer he would have been classed as Fail Fail Fail. He has now completed an Honours Degree at Canterbury and is now onto Law in Auckland.
The political belief when interfering in Education seems to be that all progress at the same rate. Rubbish and good luck and admiration for the Creative Hub. Though had it been financed by the Government it wouldn't be now! -
aah, the advent of the Latte Day Saints...
Funny!. Almost the Adventists of the Latte Day Saints. -
Hilarious! Make a good film - but lawyers might object. Pace excellent and felt compelled to read on. We do know women like Marjorie - what an anxious life she leads. (The only thing I can remember from High school was "Beware the Foolishness of Pretence" - or was that pretentiousness?)
Now who were the people in real life on which this story was based?
