Party vote Greens. Here in Wigram the electorate vote doesn't mean much, but that's ended up gong to the Green candidate as well. Keep MMP with STV as an alternative.
For the detailed reasoning behind my votes - here's one I prepared earlier -

It occurs to me that at some point inviting everyone to delve into their parents’ photo albums and scan and post some here would be fun and rewarding.
One project I started this year is in fact scanning my late grandparent's photo albums before they get distributed far and wide throughout the family. It's a bit of a start-stop process, when the urge strikes. But I will be publishing the albums to the web for extended family, I might post a few photos here.

Tangent, since this seems to be the current earthquake/christchurch thread - I had the opportunity to look around inside one of our earthquake-threatened historic places this past weekend and thought people here might be interested in the photos (and the possibility of another group visit at a later date)

There have been "party vote national" signs scattered around my part of "Wigram" for some weeks now. Just the (young) local candidate on them, no sign of JK.
I would have liked to see the Greens run a strong candidate and campaign here, with the void left by Anderton there might have been a chance to catch people thinking about their vote. Instead I expect most of those votes just to slip straight over to Labour (especially since Jim sent around a nice letter endorsing their candidate as his successor).
Doesn't go any way to making me feel like my (electorate) vote counts any more in this election than it has in the past 6.

Just get the words Flash Flash in place of the video when browsing on Chrome on Mac here.
Ditto Firefox 6, Windows 7 Pro 64bit. Link to NZOA and video there works fine though :)

And I <3 Jayne! Man, I miss that programme.
This might be a good point to mention that there's a geek convention here in Chch in a couple of weeks time which includes in the programme a Firefly marathon.

By the end of February I was already thing of this as "The year of Storms". Political, geological, familial. The snow only added "literal" to that list.

Archival reports from the 1992 dump.
http://www.3news.co.nz/Canterbury-hit-hard-by-massive-snow-storm-1992/tabid/309/articleID/131508/Default.aspxI have to say these don't bode well for either the hillside or low-lying suburbs under the current conditions, as it all melts. Recalling from a geologist acquaintance who was up inspecting the cracks in the hills what is expected to happen once water gets into them.
