if someone could just talk to this family,
organise a Working BeeI'm part of a group of volunteers working on making something of their other property - or at least slowing the rate of deterioration - talking to the family is nigh impossible, we sprang from serendipity and a blog post found by someone who had contact with the property manager.

They ended up pushing this poor nurse into the limelight, and too far, purely to amuse themselves – abhorrent.
And in fact this was the nurse who originally took the call because there was no-one at reception at something like 5:30am in the morning - not the one who later gave out the details (on a line she must have had even reason to believe had been properly vetted) who must be feeling even worse right now :(
I personally absolutely loathe prank situations and calls, those perpetuated by the media most of all, and this is an extreme and very sad example of why.

I really don’t like this bit – maybe quote out of context, maybe not …
The minister has expressed concern about councils getting involved in social issues …
As our local elected representatives I fully expect our councils to pay attention to social issues. Now he may be talking about banning gang patches or prostitution bylaws but he could equally well be eying up things like the large amount of social housing Christchurch City Council provides.

I was just wondering if you were one of the persons who stopped him and asked for a photo. I was a few steps behind in much plainer dress. (If I'm going to keep getting pressed into service I must get myself a fitting jacket.)
I took a few photos at the event but nothing spectacular.
