Lance Wiggs does not read PAS because it is too difficult for him, since it does not conform to his expectation of what a blog should be in form and content. If I were him, I would have kept this opinion to myself, since it shows a remarkable inability to adapt.
He has failed to realise that PAS is not a blog but a community of blogs (it says so on the label) and a lot more besides, so it is not the same as one man and his dog giving their opinions on Wordpress.
And, for all his praise of Wordpress, he still managed to muck up the link to Whaleoil.

They are going to charge for satire.
That should work.

Does the target demographic eat bread? Hence my RTD suggestion.

If this wasn't Veitch it wouldn't be news, as sad as that might be.
That is his problem. Had he dived off a bridge into a foaming torrent to save a litter of cute puppies from drowning, he would have received more acclaim than the average joe doing the same thing. Those are the breaks of celebrity.

My sources tell me that, under the revised legislation, offenders will have their iPods crushed.

So was I; another time soon, I hope.

Geoff, thank you. I am all agog. An email is on its way.
My response to the video was simple undiluted joy, that people could be so affirmative of themselves and dismissive of those who cannot tolerate others being themselves. I recall a similar feeling when reading Hard News a long while back, when Russell responded to some homophobic American psycho, not by his usual measured arguments but by saying "fuck off."
Sometimes, unreasonable thoughts do not require reasoned replies.

What a bunch of tossers, the lot of them: more concerned with besting their rivals, whom they admire greatly, than doing any journalism; and always willing to find the time to write a verbose screed of self-justification. This one could be summarised as "yes we did it, but it was not what you think, so no we didn't do it." You can see why the news stories are not worth reading when this is all a journalist can manage in his own defence.
