Hard News: About Campbell Live, in reply to
I enjoyed Q&A this am, not the bit on dollar parity so much but the section on city planning and the Greek economy. Good and relevant causes, passionate people, engaged interviewers and presenters. (We have to forgive Hannah DP for the Slater piece on Seven Sharp) Why wouldn't the rest of NZ want to see that sort of thing packaged with the news
Does anyone know if Campbell Live format changed when Weldon and Christie came on board? Was that why we got more fluffy ducks and less investigative journalism ?

Herald threw up this gem this morn.
Cannot use his own name ffs! -
And, what choice is there for the journos? I was disgusted that anyone would leave News to go work for Steven Joyce, thought that was unethical, but now I see if the likes of Rachel Morton wants to stoop that low, (and Sia Aston in the Dictators office WTF?) then it must be, eat shit at TV3

read and weep - (faux) 'reality' is here to stay...
So when do we become another state of Australia? Sorted the dollar, got information sorted and how about that flag eh?
Shifting any information to Sunday viewing is convenient for our Dickeytator and his buddy Mark money, money, who wouldn't "remember" and wouldn't have to answer to anyone, thus our Propaganda machine can go into action with a pic of some boyband introduced by a selfie with our PM.Christie has all her eggs in a row . Jono and Ben can kiss their careers goodbye. Hell, we'll get more news from 7 Days, as long as we can guess what the screenshot is about.
As Barnes said earlier, "it's part of a bigger picture" coming to us Crosby Textor, (money, money, money) style with "Bubbles and bagels"
I'm now truly disgusted in this New World Order that has taken 7 years to implement in what once was, Paradise. -

I also wonder about how rarely National MPs appear on the show, as if there was some directive to only appear on shows where the questions make National look good.
It seems to be that way in Radio as well, and lets face it , Campbell often says ,"we invited so and so on the show to respond..." and they declined. So yeah if one is National friendly they get interviews just as Seven Sharp does. Paul Henry will too. Everyone else who questions them is rejected.Thing is tho' a concerted effort to do that by a Government especially in a Country so small as ours will ultimately end in media being manipulated by the Government to such a point that it is just propaganda.
I'm glad John Campbell is Lawyering up on this one as the Papers are reporting this morn. -

What I'm saying is some people disbelieve Dirty Politics, some people vote National and some people watch Seven Sharp. Very few of those people comment here but they clearly make up a good chunk of the population.
and some people needed a better education but we wont hold that against them either. You may have tried to choose your words carefully but your insinuation was laid bare. I think a large chunk of our NZ population are ignorant also and they don't appear to be on PA either. Fancy that. Go figure.

Legal Beagle: What next for Winston?, in reply to
Well said Tussock,( I think anyway). Interestingly Winston, commenting on Mana said he gave his heads up to Kelvin in Te Tai Tokerau because Hone went with Dotcom. He didn't seem to have any other reason thus suggesting NZFirst can work with Mana and interestingly also , Rueben Taipari Porter had a great contribution at a meet the candidates afternoon at Swamp Palace. He got great applause, which was nice to see from many Farmers.
As for successor, Winston said if he got voted in he would continue to represent the seat in '17 if wanted but I suspect that Ron Mark will be the next to lead the Party and Winston could sit back and concentrate on Northland. Still , it seems relatively new to say an MP is too old, we see National refresh MPs as they get older but not so much other Parties and seeing as Winston gets the Grey vote ,he may just grow older in the house . It was great to see Labour applaud him in the House yesterday. The opposition looked cohesive. -
I guess Winston didn't win every booth by this interactive in Harold but bloody good thrashing anyhow.
