Hard News: A dramatic and unremarkable decision, in reply to
Thank you Kay. I had read about the surgery somewhere and know that all options would be considered. It will be fantastic if Alex has some help from Elixinol though. I would suggest now ,if that is not helpful, his family could seek other derivatives from Dunne.

Here's one for Steven Crawford to ponder.

He actually didn't need to go charging around with a firehose.
But, he's a politician.

Off topic but slightly on, Isn't it possible to operate and remove the part affected that causes the seizures. The bit upthread also about Docs being concerned he might awaken from his coma slightly high sounds like a pathetic excuse. I woke from my coma and was permanently medicated on god knows what (although t'other will know) and I'd spend time telling my Dad just what my hallucinations were . It became a bit of fun after a while. So really the Doctors are willing and able to prescribe drugs that get you high every time it suits. Now, I'm a perfect example of coma to seizures to completely normal human being albeit a few permanent pains... which marijuana alleviates. hah!
ETA, Methinks Peter Dunne is starting to understand that sensible debate should gain traction ,methinks the likes of RB's (Brown and Bell) have assisted him in that decision. I'd say kudos to Dunne when he employs these 2 to head the Panel for discussion on Marijuana reform with the view to follow along the lines of decriminalisation first.

Why all the secrecy surrounding this shipment? Are the Nats bribing a Mexican billionaire this time?
Speaking of secrecy, I note that the Herald has yet to run the story, even though it's been on the front page of Stuff all afternoon.
I noticed the lack of Herald coverage too. I guess it is now officially a propaganda paper for National Press releases. Otherwise their journalists are incompetent or lazy. Fisher keeps plugging away tho' and I like Dita, that's it.
I emailed Jo Goodhew, her area of portfolio and her area, about the shipment. I await her weasle words but don't hold me breath. seems any law can be broken as long as they support National -
I bet if Campbell live still existed we would hear about this shipment of live sheep and cows
Don't we have a law against this? It would seem if MPI slap the word "breeding" before sheep, then they can circumvent the law . 3 times ,we know of. :( -

TV3 has made it's own bed. They will have to do a little more than advertise 'dancing with the stars' or Paul Henry to prove their worthiness to me. We have been fed a diet of PR dressed up as journalism for so long now ,I could blame that for 3's direction and if so that is just lazy. The likes of the "gotcha" reporting from Gower for one, says also to me that the journalist is not non partisan anyway. His rant being an example of that.
Nah, TV3 deserve a kick up the ass. How about TVNZ are state owned with expectations, until their charter changes, their hands are tied, TV3 had a chance to make a stand and didn't. Mark Jennings is between a rock and a hard place. This is it. People have spoken and for once it has had it's point made. Power to the people, just not John Key, he has too much. -
Oh, some justice is served. Fuck Mediaworks and it's ass.
