Hard News: The perils of political confidence, in reply to
You’d think all large media orgs would have permanent lip readers on staff
Is that part of the 170,000 jobs being made available? Could be a contender. "Beat the dole queue, Read my lips. you will be in a job, bludger!" ;)

I doubt there is anything on the tape.
That may be true of course and absolutely agree with the bully boy tactic analogy but that is also why they are dangerous. Everyone is being played the fool, just like the last election. but we knew that.

Another John, this time Campbell asked Brash if he thought Banks would be honest to him if his leadership was at stake after the Election. Remember TV3 know what's init.
Brash thinks so. Yes. -
Well HOS have got until Sunday then.... WE ALL WANNA KNOW! m'kay ?

Also, were the media invited to this tea fest?
Banks announced his Tea party the day before if I recall correctly. He said it was the afternoon.
Key will complain to the police over the matter.
...Could mean he is complaining to the Police for their incompetence in looking at suspicious packages and thus not looking after him.DPS and 11 other police didn't notice a suspicious package?

I very much doubt this has been the case for either of them for a very long time.
Although Banks doesn't drink he does call in to meet up with friends at the Cavalier, just as Winston Peters does, (he does like a tipple). Banks did afterall once own it and Key has been spotted out late at Shanghai Lil's (although he appeared alone) in Parnell. So they can do the odd normal thing :)
but yeah,+1 for what Ben said. -

I very much doubt National wants to find itself on the far right of the political spectrum.
Well it just went to A Cuppa Tea Party to try to ensure their return. And they are happy to make concessions for confidence and supply so your doubts could be pie/sky. After saying he would not have Brash in "Cabinet", he's already at "Minister outside Cabinet." Shifty, much? Plus puppet master Joyce is there who worked with Brash on that 2005 Election and Key was there too. Far right wasn't a problem then. The strategy may have changed, has the entire National Party base shifted? doubt that.
Policy? Oh that's right, more of the same, sell assets.
I'm reminded of South Park, I can change, I can change, I can change. :) -
Just had a thought, (I know, I know, rare for me )
This Right eous wing lot are all about the backroom deal. From the Earthquakes to the Elections, a nod and a wink, she’ll be Right. "Boy ,have I got a deal for you.;)" Dealers and gamblers. :(( -

This election is still very open. There are some critical outcomes that could swing things quite a lot.
For leaning left, I still can't see past the minor Parties doing it without Labour IF one wants the Left to govern. As a minor Party maybe getting a concession for good behaviour with the Right ?, sure, but I think Greens would get a strong disapproval if they were prepared to join the Right. Leopard spots etc. We still have no Green candidate in our area so party vote Green would be an only choice.
I think Mana does sound interesting too and I hope it grows because of it's diversity. They are young and pretty fresh and would keep each other in check or.... explode.
At the end of the 26th Nov, we will have a pretty good idea eh?
