I'm trying to get hold of a dude who knows how to build with cob, he's apparently as old as the historic ones around the place. I might cheat a bit and have steel reinforcing and a concrete floor - but a house of mud, straw, and a bit of poo sounds like hog hevan to me.
As we have no bottle recycling in the Sth Island at all - some goes into the roads. We really do need to place the price of packaging onto the initial product to reduce waste.

"The Greens' water-usage tax is what is needed across the board ... if you implement water efficiencies, you pay less tax. "
Maybe but National want to privatise water, so it is a tradable comodity. This is dangerous and has serious implications.
We have made great mistakes with Quota Managment in Fishing (notice the recent closures). If water is to be 'traded' or taxed. Ownership must rest in the community, not private hands.
A mangaged use of water with regulations for use which would pretty much stop dairying to its current extent, at least in Canty. Tax doesn't need to be used, but laisse faire is a disaster.

I popped into my fave bike shop on Manchester st and they have a selection of baskets - including wicker! that either fix on or simply hook on and have handy handles to walk around the shops.
As for Trelise Cooper, isn't she suing the Green Movement for copying her idea of sustainability? -

Great to know Low over cooked it and the AAG has now been biffed in the compost. I wonder what flys & worms will crawl over it now.

Junkets (defined as "any New Zealander going overseas not wearing military or sporting uniform").
Everytime I went overseas in either Army or Sports uniform it was most definately a junket. The most dangerous place I've been to overseas while paid by the Queens Shilling was the bar.
Others have faced danger and been couragous - not me though & very happy for it :)
