I'm a little off footed here:
"School shooting: It's when, not if"
http://www.stuff.co.nz/4621587a11.htmlAre Methcon branching out on the alarmist call or are the Cops abdecating their responsibility for vetting firearms licence holders?

On the 1st 4 ships. You've got to remeber (& remind them) that their mums were all mail order brides with a try before you buy period.
The famous family photos are all taken a generation & 1/2 later. -
Sorry PYM - Pretty Young Men?
Makes much more sense though when singing along to the Michael Jackson classic

Comparing like with like.
The two privious Jewish PMs of NZ were the forever forgotten Francis Bell (Mum was Jewish but converted to Christianity)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Francis_Bell_%28New_Zealand_Prime_Minister%29And the brilliant Sir Julius Vogel, responsible for opening the immigration doors to my Mums family (from Poland and Blumsky as well who I didn't know has Jewish roots) and Great Works including funding the Railways.
Julius Vogel was NZ PM & Sci Fi author who predicted 2000 a NZ dominated by women in positions of power.
"The awards are named for Sir Julius Vogel, a prominent New Zealand journalist and politician, who became Prime Minister of New Zealand in the 1870s. He also, in 1889, wrote what is widely (though possibly erroneously) regarded as New Zealand's first science fiction novel, Anno Domini 2000 - A Woman's Destiny. The book pictured a New Zealand in the year 2000 where most positions of authority were held by women - at the time of writing, a radical proposition. In 2000, New Zealand's Head of State, Governor General, Prime Minister, Chief Justice and Attorney General were all women, as was the CEO of one of the country's largest companies, Telecom."

Badgers, we don't need no stinking badgers.

I always took the hate language as an acceptance they're a minority and so sit in a cnr by themselves and sulk.
It's pretty poisonous stuff & I would have thought repulsive language to post regardless of politics.
ZAP aren't too bad these days, as far as their Belfast opperations go. Grandad backs onto them and they were a 24hr op with tractors & bulldozers going full light & noise but they've toned down. I don't know their politics but at least the keep to normal hours these days.

Why do we need a cultural capital at all?
Let the regions do their thing. Taranaki has a fair bit of cultural capital, with their World Music, Parihaka, Len Lye, and the other acts that travel the regions.
Christchurch has a long running Theatre Sports (which I think I am responsible for the demise of the amateur part - I was that bad) and a steady Theatre Company of shows, a bit middle age in focus but you've gotta follow the dollars.
Wellington is the King of Corp Sponsors and Govt benefactors & I was really impressed with some of the Auckland Art.
I think there is a lack of live music around, not big name bands but just locals playing in the back of the pub. It may be the death of venues to play that's the issue. Irish, Jazz & Blues are all I can think of around town for live music, no rock - own or covers hmm.

Peter Hausmann is obviously a Vulcan (look at the ears) and used some type of Vulcan mindmeld to get out of that. That story never really had the smoking gun though.
That the Govt is dispensing with the SFO seems sensible governance if there wasn't really that much for them to do.My comments about Kiwiblog were too general, but as I get scared if I stay there too long, I didn't really want to be too specific either.

Mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa.
I often over/miss use "Absolutely". I over use "Glorious", as in "Good & Glorius Morning to you", when other say "Hi".
Use of big colourful, rich, and flowery words in conversation brings out positive emotions (at least in me).
Spartan and dowdy language is boring, plain and depressing.
It's a little trick to lift my spirits, if it pisses someone off, Tough titties.
I'm also trying to introduce colour into mens clothing, orange and yellow shirt is the limit so far.

Just to set the scene Kiwiblog are bagging the Judge for letting the bright kid go & work for the Police , while calling for a guy who broke a womens back to be left alone.
