Sylvia Park - a destination shopping centre that is the envy of other Southern Hemisphere nations.
Best lulz of the morning! I like the idea that there are government officials in Paraguay and Botswana who are dead impressed with Sylvia Park.
I had a little read of the candidate booklet that came with my voting papers. It was interesting that Steve Crow's profile managed to completely avoid mention of any of the pornographic enterprises he's been involved with. Is he ashamed?

But if I were to take the bus (three buses, actually) to Newmarket on a Thursday, that would be at least another hour my boy was at home on his own.
I was talking about this sort of situation with my dad earlier in the week. It seems to me that a lot of people would be quite happy to pay higher prices for petrol if it means they get to spend more time with their families.
That's going to be a big obstacle to overcome to get people to use public transport over their cars.
(Also, I see the swish new Link buses are on the roads. I think I might have to go for a ride.)

Glyn Tucker Jnr...fer sure despite the Hasselhoff.
Arrgh! I have this LP!
The back of "Lovin' Feelings" sez:
Executive Producer: Glyn Tucker Jnr for Mezzo Investments
It's a piece of shit. It doesn't even hold up in a kitschy Hasselhoff kind of way. No one needs to hear him crooning the Young and the Restless theme or "Go Away Little Girl".
But yet I'm really pleased that there's an Aotearoa-Hasselhoff connection.

Which reminds me - why do those people who sit up front and talk out loud to the driver always have such chronic speech impediments?
Avoid the front and the back of the bus, cos that's where the trouble is.
The front of the bus is for the crazy people who want to talk to the driver, eldery who want a short walk to the door, and tourists who are paranoid of missing their stop.
The back of the bus is for gangsta school children who want to scratch their name on the glass, and crazy-arse people who huff paint.
Although, the middle of the bus has produced an old guy who tried to pick me up with his awesome seduction techniques ("Soooo, having a quiet one tonight?") and the seat some kids had covered with glue stick, that I didn't realise until I stood up and my jeans stuck to the seat.
The bus is a huge source of creative inspiration for me.

I wish WOFs tested emissions the amount of crap spewing on NZ streets is really sad
I live on Mt Eden Road - a major Auckland non-motorway arterial road - and my flat is pretty close to the road itself.
As a result, all the dust in my flat is black. I've had grey dust in other flats, but never this dirty black dust.
And when I'm down at the Mt Eden Village shops, I've noticed that their shop interiors and stock have the same fine smattering of black dust.
Now I'm just waiting for some scientist to tell me I'd be better off living in coal mine.
Lower emissions are OK by me!

__Also, Vince Noir is so hot.__
Is this due to his hair?
Ya, it's the hair. But watch out - he can use his straighteners as a weapon.

Here is the Boosh tundra rap, where Howard Moon proves his point in song format. It is cooler than ice.

I've just been tardy lately and I realise the links were a bit late.
I kind of like that even if the blog posts are a bit late, the telly fiends among us can fill in the gaps with our own picks.
Oh, and let me put in a plug for The Mighty Boosh on C4.
The Mighty Boosh is brilliant! If you like absurdist comedy, a bit of music and apes, then the Boosh will tickle you in the right places. Also, Vince Noir is so hot.

Stephen Fry doco on manic depression. on Prime at 11.25pm Sunday looks good.
Oh, I've seen that and it is a good one. Carrie Fisher makes an appearance, and this seems to reassure the lovely Stephen that he may be crazy but he's not that crazy.
And just when it looks like being bipolar might be an awesome state to get into if you're a wonderful creative person, he meets a couple of ordinary people whose lives have been damaged by their condition.

What's With All The Capital Letters In Tamaki's Press Release?
You know how there's that tradition to capitalise pronouns if they refer to God ("I feel His love.")?
Well, I suspect that Bri would quite like it if people did the same for him. It would be too much if Bishop T started referring to himself as He, but if Bri writes everything with initial capitals, then He Can Get Away With It.
