That will be my singing, Jackie -- it often has that effect on people. In my defence, I'm playing the song in completely the wrong key for my voice on account of the fact that neither Bob nor I know how to play B#m on the ukulele.

Dude, Beard. Hmmm.
Yeah, it's a new dictum of Russell's. He says that all the male PA writers have to grow beards like him so as to present a "unified corporate image". Frankly it's a bit much. He seems like such a nice guy -- but I'm telling you, underneath the façade, Russell's as bad as the Taliban.

I have a Deering that looks just like the one in that vid. I think I'm going to go have a hack at Wildwood Flower RIGHT NOW.
May I also recommend the Carter Family's original cool 4/4 version of "Are you lonesome?". It's one of Bob's favourites and I suspect that it would sound excellent on a banjo. As an added bonus it's in G, which will be handy for that drone string of yours.

Watching that video, I found myself thinking that Bob didn't seem like such a bad baby. But that look he gave the camera about two seconds before the end sent shivers down my spine.
And well done on the They Might Be Giants. At this rate he'll be on to Tom Waits' Island years by the time he hits primary school.
