Is Obama President? Not yet, but that hasn't stopped some forward-thinking Republicans from getting an early jump on pushing for his impeachment. ObamaImpeachment.org exists. Though if the proprietors' fact-checking skills are as strong as their spell-checking ones, I don't think Senator Obama has much to worry about.
If you're upset you missed the boat on the URL, fret not. ImpeachPresidentZacEfron.net is still available.
Hmmm... Can we impeach a Prime Minister?

I got you a little pressie. I look at it when I feel sad.
Awww... I don't real Italian, but having seen(and been unimpressed by) Dario Fo's Accidental Death of An Anarchist I wonder if that chap should be quite so jolly. (And just for the record, I wouldn't find Fo's Brecht-and-water didactics any more attractive if he was a right-winger.)
-
yeah, it made me laugh too ... it was the last one I read, as if someone had got to the last of their chalk and thought "Dammit, I'm gonna say what I really feel"

Do you think it would be possible for me to buy back my introduction to you?

CNN.com reports "If Obama wins, the bull gets slaughtered". Some Kenyan villagers will kill a bull to feast upon if their lad wins. Oh noez! Vote McCain! Save the bull!
-
Quick people: Sky News, right now, the glasses of the panelist sitting at the far left. Quick!

" Oh, and 24 minutes after poll closing and they still AREN'T calling Kentucky for McCain? That's just crazy. "
Yeah and they haven't called Indiana for Obama. That's even crazier!!
BTW - Is there a PubAddress pool on when CNN et al will call it? -
weird - I previewed but a whole page turned up. Anyway, off to watch the teevee now. I don't have a lap top so I'll see y'all later.

If somebody tells Sue Kedgley, I'll personally punch them hard on the thighs.

To be fair, Giovanni, I think the nets have actually learned the lesson that you can be first and still lose after the Florida call fiasco in 2008, and the horribly unreliable exit polls that were "leaked" four years later. (BTW, Nate Silver has ten good reason why exit polls should be ignored anyway - and we should be thankful it's illegal for media outlets to conduct them here.)

As long as nobody really feels inspired to write Who's your Daddy? Helen's Your Daddy! in a public place. Because that's the kind of weird that should only be shared between consenting adults in private.

The early results from Indiana were supposed to break for McCain, until centres like Gary came in. They don't seem to be.

Except Indiana is a toss-up state and Kentucky an extra solid McCain state, the kind of state I would have expected to be called immediately. But maybe they're just being more cautious than in primary season.

Hey another website to be checking out is FARK.com.
News aggregator - with THE BEST headlines. eg:
Illinois is tense with heightened election day shenanigans: IL police take aggressive rooster into custody.
and:
Fox reports voter intimidation by Black Panthers in Philadelphia. Still no confirmation on disruptions caused by Black Vulcans, Black Eagles, Storms, Power Men, Blades, Bumblebees, Static Shocks, Spawns, Lobos, Bishops, Cloaks or Harlem Hammers
and:
Early evening election thread - cable networks begin their election night programming at 5 PM EST. Have nothing to talk about for two hours.
-
Giovanni:
Kentucky has variable closing times in its polling booths I think. A time zone runs through it. So they can't call it before Western Kentucky closes, even if they count the vote.

Gack! what a time to pop out for lunch!
I need to know... what was going on with the glasses?

CNN says ~80% turnouts in Indiana and Missouri.
Woah. If anything like that is reflected across the US then can I be the first to say "democracy is the winner".
What %tage are of adults registered?

I need to know... what was going on with the glasses?
Nothing, really, I just thought he was commenting on the Nixon re-election for a minute... indescribably ugly 70s glasses. Cannot be overstated. I haven't fully regained my vision yet.
-
Kentucky an extra solid McCain state
Wouldn't be too sure about that. Senate Minority leader Mitch McConnell is in a genuinely competitive race for like... the first time ever. But I think you're right, and the nets are just being more cautious about making early calls. And with good reason.

CNN exit poll:
McCain gets 72% of white evangelicals.
Bush got 78%.
