The Wahine storm, except in our town it was a day (or so) earlier and was the day the Primary school roof came off.
They could have stood a convicted murderer there and got in with a handy majority.
National could have stood a pro-green candidate and got in with a handy majority. But instead they chose a weasily tobacco lobbyist. Doesn't say much for the Clutha-Southland electorate committees does it.
Here's a thought Nicky Wagner, put your cell phone away and pay attention to the people you are meeting with. They deserve your full attention not some half-arsed, I'd rather see who is following me on twitter.
I really miss my bath.
and the Court of Appeal has dismissed the appeal.
The appeal is dismissed and the declarations made by Clifford J are upheld in this Court, though for different reasons:

Scott Foval, the Dem contractor named, has in fact resigned
I can't find that on any 'reputable' web site. So far all I have found comes from James O'Keefe himself. There is a comment that Fox News reported it but there is nothing about it on their web site.
The Herald has foolishly posted a story that seems to be sourced from fake news site ABCNEWS.com.co The clue being the .co after .com
A very brief bit of Google work found this out so it’s not that the writer, or the Herald, couldn’t fact check this story.
We have four nut trees from a friend that were part of a trial into growing truffles in NZ. Our trees were rejects because they didn't take the truffle infections. But I have noticed that one tree has had a lot more attention from the wild pigs that infest our property. Of course it is hard to say if that tree had truffles or more worms than the others, now that the bloody pigs have rooted all around it.
Really glad you posted this Emma. I had to run away from The Standard when I read the comments section, particulary the ones in response to Rosemary. Hope that this will be a better forum for women to discuss their thoughts.
I like the term "marriage equality" because I thinks everyone should have equal rights to marry whomever they choose, or not. And that includes those who choose to marry someone who is already married. How many more years before our laws are changed to permit that choice?
