  • Hard News: What the people want to hear,

why is money any diifferent from any other commodity? In labelling them 'sharks; who 'attack' you appear to think currency traders are more egregious than those who trade bandwidth or freight space.

I think the discomfort for me is that ,we hear evidence of the average Joe Bloggs continuously being led up the garden path with promise of good investment planning for retirement. Alot of these people trust, believe, the suits that drive the flash car and live in the burbs. It ain't workin but, and noone is accountable so it feels shonkey. Remember the BNZ,that lot seem to have their own island now. We bailed them... Shonkey.Sorry but I dont want our country traded in some back room deal.

Dear hearts, that's not the policy they campaign on. That's the policy they deliver.

That reminds me of the Auckland C ity council elections.... His name was John also: )

Cheers Jean, that is exactly my point.

    Me too

I gather the person asking Key the questions was not a journalist. A journalist you would think would have done a follow-up question to clarify what Key was saying. The article itself looks poorly written

.I have been completely misquoted after being reassured and having my comments reread by a Herald journalist, and, was only talking about a drinking establishment!

bugger the content it's the mindless entertainment we're after

Not all of us.(Looking forward to your show Russell) I may only be a voter, but I want to hear policies if I am to believe change is needed. (which I dont).

The lesson they need to draw is, do not respond on the fly and stick to your message.

...and that is? I ,( as a layperson/voter), watch parliament on tv and am still waiting to hear Nationals " message".

Henry was a happy, lucky family pet. Whoever stayed, was generally there because they wanted to be there... Perhaps I shouldv'e told the "filming wildlife with my cousin" story: )

    Did Henry have servants?

Not that I remember although a few people hung around the house.

But....I've trodden on my cat's tail accidentally before

Never heard of anyone doing that to Henry.

are you telling me Henry was big enough to forgive and forget?

    was big enough!

Oh, hang on, I see, so you cut his claws and teeth off?

I know he had manicured nails, not declawed, and his teeth were fine. Henry wasn't mine,(my uncles )but my cousins grew up with him and I think they are okay sort of.No missing bits ; )

Jeez, no way would I keep a leopard as a pet. I've just read a bit too much Jim Corbett. Cohabiting with a creature that could tear your limbs off if you forgot to feed it on time would put a lot of scary flatmates in perspective.

I didn't mention, my uncle was different.... but Henry never felt threatened so along with manicure and dental care, he really was the family cat. Also the occasional guest at the house was probably a little more scary than him : )
