On Nine to Noon this morning Peter Low said after pulling back from his worst threats: "People know me. I'm a vegetarian and I wouldn't even kill a mice!"
I have an idea that there is a team of people lined up to post in places like the Auckland Herald and they believe that by screaming the same abuse rather than at an issue, people will respond. In spite of Polls and the more than 20% "don't knows," many people who I know don't subscribe to the hysteria. Family First, Sensible Sentencing, Family Trust and others appear to me as being all the same, including the strange Christine Rankin.

I read this morning that the increase for trucks over 3 tonnes was $4.90 per 1,000 km or $49 per 10,000. (I can't find the full figures.) Break this down to a block of cheese and it would increase the cost by .001cents. None of the discussion from Suzie Wong to Copeland or others had actually mentioned the facts of the increase though some say 3.5% (King) , some say 7% and some 10%. Anyone find the facts?

I am sure that John Key and Craig will put a stop to SPARC and use that $5mil + to build a few prisons for Simon P to fill with all those nasty crims who will never get probation. Roll on John and Simon. What cost?

Unless Hager's story is a complete fabrication, Key had been working with Crosby/Textor for a year, at his own initiative -- and he's lying in that interview.
Thats it! The importance of this is that integrity is at stake. The debate has pursued all the red herrings (which are good fun) perhaps to cloud the issue above.

OMG... You mean that Hooten and Hare actually DISAGREE WITH EACH OTHER, and have been known to raise their voices?
Craig: Not so much the shouting as to why Hooten might feel compelled to shout, or for that matter for you to accent the shouting instead of wondering about the reasons. I wonder why he was so incensed? Does it reflect possible panic? Shouldn't the issue be about the population being aware that some political parties are manipulating us in sneaky ways? Does it matter if they are?

rodgered: I yell at the TV at all those strange ads claiming relief from a whole range of sicknesses ranging from curing the common cold, to curing joint pain. Like psychics these people seem to pander to the weak and the vulnerable and the gullible. Why is there no EU type protection here in NZ???
