Apropos of everything, the recent (Feb 9th) article from The New Yorker "The Art of Fact-Checking" reviewing the book "The Lifespan of a Fact"

Should that "But it makes 28% of the global revenue in phone manufacture" be "28% of the global revenue in smartphone manufacture amoung the eight major companies in the market"?
My sense looking at the webpage, is that this maybe one of those statistics that are hard to track back to what they were actually sampling. Similarly, nowhere on the linked page is "global revenue" listed near the charts, and I've certainly seen confusion in other forums between the U.S. and Global and Smartphone and Phone markets. -

Well, it was built in the 1870s and 80s.
Though being a local, I haven't actually been to it for many years, but I gather the restoration is going relatively well.
Along with Cargill's castle I would also note the equally impractical, and related, Tunnel Beach. -

Only after I knelt down and took a picture of some waterlilies, did I notice that there were some duck(ling)s at rest just in front of me. I could almost have used the camera's macro settings.
