  • Field Theory: All Misty-Eyed,

Kahui travelled and the coach was saying yesterday medical staff expect him to be right for the final.

    Bugger about Sivivatu!

The Canes had the wrong game plan, the Chiefs nicked theirs so they used an old one from, oh, I dunno, the Crusaders? Without the awesome defence required...

BTW, not only not married, also non-religious.

Gareth, quite the opposite: I'm saying marriage seems to be a sincere religious construct - so why do non-religious folk buy it?

No. Not even a tiny bit. You're thinking of slavery.

    Hey, you said it...

Hey don't get me wrong, I love weddings!! Best parties ever, usually. Just a shame someone has to get married to have a wedding...

And the (possibly) facetious aside about assets, well maybe not so facetious... isn't getting married a bit like owning someone else?

But no gushy responses about how great it is to be married, thanks. I've got to eat soon.

I guess I'm one of those vast majority who don't really care - and at the risk of offending any of my friends out there, gay or otherwise, I don't particularly see why anyone would want to get married who isn't religious.
Don't all religions have marriage? It seems a universal trait of organised religions to have marriage at their core... which makes me wonder why non-religious anyone(s) would want to tie the knot in the first place.
De facto, civil union, whatever you like. Just not marriage! Urk...
Of course your basic point stands, anyone can get married, except queers.
I know, let's abolish marriage! Then we're all equal...

  • Cracker: Death Beach,

Can I just say that talking/writing about "we" without saying who the other person/s is/are should only be done by the Queen.

I get this at my numerous workplaces all the time. Sometimes I like to imagine the other person the "we" user is alluding to is their imaginary friend, or an octopus, or something equally odd.

Zombie films are the best horror films. For some reason I just love them. Hopefully nothing to do with earning that nickname in 4th form math class, when I kept falling asleep.

And Hadyn you're a pussy, they're meant to give you nightmares, that's part of the fun...

One day someone will make the perfect zombie flick too, you know, one without the huge hole in the plot big enough to drive, well, a whole bunch of zombies through.

  • Hard News: TiVo and some tunes,

All sounds good apart from the broadband delivery angle/wifi being extra (have I got that right?)...

I mean, who on earth still has a landline? I've got wireless radio broadband and a cellphone, haven't had a phone for years...
