My Story

• t. edison,

Does anyone else find it ironic that a supposedly viral lo-fi TV series
like 'my story' has been made by what is essentially a corporate?

has life, sorry 'my/your_life' really become so cynical?
harry sinclair didnt need big brother to make topless women
& that was a decade or two before youtube/myspace...

Why so spineless in this digital (free-access to media tools) age?
Do filmmakers really have to be on someones payroll nowadays to
try & launch something innovative?

& do u really need to read any more rhetorical questions from me?

i think not....

respect to truly independent film

the rest can kiss the boards ass....

sorry, in the words of the CEO

'my ass'

Er, no. I can't figure out how that is ironic. Should I party like it's 1996 and ask Alanis?

Speaking of which, I've been jonesing for the Topless Women movie, but it looks like it's not at all available on DVD! WTF! This is one of the coolest New Zealand movies ever made! It must be released on DVD asap! (Plus, I want to relive what Auckland was like in the mid '90s)

• Joanna,

OMG, forget the movie - although I love it dearly, I want to see Topless Women the series, with the ERRECT PENIS clearly visible through boxer shorts, and the games of Monopoly played for piles of weed in the middle of the board. And then ten minutes later, I want to watch The Critic on TVONE. Stupid parents trying to make me go to bed...

• Peter Cox,

Yeah, I kinda assumed the original poster was talking about the series.

• Mark Easterbrook,

I just tried to watch MyStory online, and it Denied me because, apparently, I'm located outside New Zealand.

Maybe it meant outside MAINSTREAM New Zealand, in the Brashian sense...

• Bevin Linkhorn,

We had some troubles with the MyStory online flash player this week. And yes it was stopping some people from watching the shows even though they were in NZ. D'oh indeed. We were blushing.

But the problem has been fixed... The first 5 eps can be viewed at the show website www.watchmystory.tv and eps6-10 get posted there this Sunday.
