It was a privilege to be in the studio audience for much of the Media7/3/Take journey. Great kaupapa, great crew, great talent, great crowd.

Well, that's annoying. I enjoyed that programme, and you were very solid, Russell.
Let's hope someone has the nous to revive Media7/3. With the new government, there's the possibility of a new horizon on the media landscape.Fingers crossed.

From tonight’s show: Rachel Stewart on the future of meat and milk and the implications for New Zealand.

I’m sorry to see the show departing. Throughout the years, 7/3/T has provided a much needed perspective on the NZ media, and a few other things besides. And I’ll credit Media Take for introducing me to other areas of Maori Television. Thanks team!
I’m delighted to see Rachel Stewart is on tonight’s show. Her gamekeeper turned poacher role always provides a refreshing antidote to DairyNZ’s sustained PR nonsense.
Maybe the revamped RNZ will provide a home for the next iteration of the show? It would seem to be a natural fit from where I’m sitting.

kia ora Russell; Media Take, and Media 3 before it, offered unique opportunities to introduce some of my students to the process of making television, as well as encountering intelligent discussions on important issues. They all enjoyed our occasional jaunts up SH1 to Hobson Street and were always treated with kindness in the studio.
But no more Media Take and no more opportunities to take students on such trips (I finish with the univ on Nov 3).
Thank you Russell, Toi and Phil.

Kia ora Russell (and Toi)
Really sad to hear this is ending- it's is one of the few programmes I make sure I watch each week. It is set to record, but usually I cannot wait so, watch as its screens..
I always watched media 7 too; and Take was a welcome and positive development In the media landscape. Toi has always provided a fresh, insightful and often very dry but witty voice that is sorely lacking from most broadcast tv.
I hope something similar can be hauled from the ashes - you have entertained and informed so well for so long, and the end leaves a huge void in our public discourse.
Thank you both( and thank you to your "unseen"Colleagues who, as you rightly note, have contributed so much). -
I guess it shows how deep into streaming media and specific news sources I have gone……
I used to watch Media7 consistently. I watched Media3 a couple of times but the scheduling didn’t fit for me. I’ve never even heard of Media Take….and now it's over.
:-(
It’s hard to stay connected to the things you might like to stay connected to.

Hebe,
I didn't interact with the show, and sometimes didn't even get to watch it, but it was fine show by all concerned. Always came away enlightened and often uplifted by the analysis, chat, journalism and co-operative spirit that was clear to see.
Congratulations to you all: you done good. -
I'm so sorry to read this, Russell! :(
