  • vangam, in reply to Scott Chris,

MDVP is really such a poor substitute for cocaine then in a free drugs market no one would use it.

Yes, in a free drugs market. Unfortunately, the situation in NZ encourages risk and the production of poor substitutes. Soon they'll be crushing up disprin and marketing it as some sort of 'buzz', and plenty of mugs will believe it.

Can you believe busineses in NZ test their employees for cocaine? If anyone tested positive for that substance they probably should get a medal, not the sack.

Just wonderin…….can anyone enlighten as to why the NZ media is so largely bereft of any real investigative journalism on drug policy [The Guardian in contrast is on the case] . Is it journalistic ignorance, editorial bias, love of tabloid scaremongering, percieved lack of public interest or all these & more. Difficult for any change to progress in the face of such widespread ignorance of the issues, politics ,& evidence-base one would have thought.

Unfortunately, not just NZ, but much of the whole developed world. Thanks in no small part to Willy Hearst, who needed a 2 Minute Hate issue to sell his newspapers. Superstition never died out, it just mutated. And it's yet to collapse under its own weight, the way Prohibition did in 1930s America. D:<
