  • Jackie Clark,

Russell: Whilst we are the subject of raising profiles, could you pass on my gratitude to the person responsible for Website we love in the Listener this week.

I thought that was very subtle of Fiona - what's the use of power if you can't use it to help your friends? BWAHAHAHAHA

Fiona says you can thank Prime, who are including your website in the publicity material for the documentary series -- that's how it came to her attention for the magazine.

Given how hopeless TV publicity can sometimes be, I think Prime deserves a pat on the back there.

  • Grace Dalley,

Oh thanks Sacha - late night typing not so hot. Hard not to be impressed by someone riding a burning alligator. :-)

  • Geoff Lealand,

Great! Prime is rapidly becoming my channel of choice (along with TVNZ7, of course).

Traffic is building (as I suspect it is on the Northern Motorway) but I am keen to see more people registering and contributing.

  • 3410,

The world of pop is but my plaything.

Chuck that one in the (large) bag marked "Unused PAS t-shirt slogans".

Seriously, I can't believe no one's organised that yet.

has been discussed before - economics of small runs not compelling, or something like that

Not so, A small t shirt shop in St Lukes does one offs but that was a while back when I used them, plus 2 Double 7 has an embroidery shop for t shirts and I think I paid about $7 for work there. It really is more, a into g I think.

  • Sacha,

Might have been talking about the rest of the process too - adding e-commerce capability, managing catalog online, handling orders and payment, shipping, returns, that sort of thing.

Could be done by partnering with orgs who do that already - but again, quantities would affect viability. Someone did put an example on Cafepress a while back, didn't they? I'd love it to work, believe me.

  • 3410,

Last night's Media7 Future of TV special is online for your information and entertainment.

Great TV (if, ironically, a bit too long this time, for me). Barbosa's segments are rather brilliant. Quality of interview commentary generally very high.

  • Rachel Prosser,

If you like Prime, then you can see who they should have cast in Scoundrels.

Dog the Bounty Hunter, wife Beth, brother Tim and sons and daughters look far more Outrageous Fortune like than the cast who look, well, like they were playing the leads in Melrose Place 10 years ago.

I think Dog would get on very well with Cheryl and Wayne in West Auckland

Also - Heather and Hope are also very preppy names - don't quite have the same ring as Loretta and Pascalle

  • Bevan Shortridge,

    Website we love

Am I missing something on the listener.co.nz website or is the "Website we love" feature not in the online preview glimpse of the magazine?

I know they want people to buy the mag, but I sort of thought that particular feature might be ideal for a, um, website. Seems like it used to be available for some previous years, but no more...

That's why listener.co.nz is one of my patented "Websites I loathe".

  • Christopher Dempsey,

And it's on one my list of magazines to avoid buying at all costs as it loudly proclaims every second week "Live to 100 by boxtoxing a do-up Villa, plant 20 veges that will save your heart, find out why your Gen Z children are likely to die before you do and twenty new makeup tips for the over 60s".

(But it doesn't stop me from reading the wine/recipe/ecologic and Easton's columns in the store).

ACT has never been a party of particularly high standards (a hangover from privilege hunting Roger Douglas). ACT stalwart Stirling demonstrates this as editor of said magazine.

  • Sacha,

Is Stirling really connected with Act? That explains rather a lot
