I totally saw birds eye on my hunt and almost went for them but checked google instead. Should have checked with you :)
I’m totally new to the whole chilli thing - always hated spicy food until a couple of years ago - now I love it!
The dish definitely tasted amazing, and the marinade is going to be a go-to from now on, but yep - I imagine not what jerk chicken should be.
Maybe we should tag-team the next attempt - between the two of us we could try turn mediocre into something awesome :) -
Hey Soon - yep, from what I’ve read it’s often mixed with meat dishes (unless there’s none available) but it’s the staple part of most meals. I did try it with a curry that I heated up, but to be honest, the texture really did my head in! Haha

I've always loved cooking fish with acid, but also found with this one, after draining the acid and drowning in coconut milk, the lime didn't really shine through much.

I may be imagining things but I don't really recall the gender divide being quite so publicly ... intense ... in other years as it has this year.
