You’ve also not succeeded in demonstrating any kind of link between skirt length and sexual promiscuity.
There may indeed be such a link. But to assume that short skirts causes sexual promiscuity, and therefore lowering the skirt will stop it?
Yet what about woman’s beach vollyball which clearly has a male following because of what little they wear.
I'm not sure this is going to entitle me telling them that they look like sluts, despite showing off a lot more than the 14 year old in question.
This was deemed Not A Good Thing, because (takes deep breath) men could see the reflection of your underwear in them.
If any male ever got off on that, they've taken their committment to perving to new heights. That's a lot of effort for what I guess would be a pretty feeble reward.

Oh Geoff, that's fantastic news. Auckland and Wellington? Dammit!

Tangential relevance: why is Brian Edwards so bad at arguing on the internet?
I likewise was appalled by that post. And the followup defences of it.
I'm watching series 1 of Mad Men at the moment - it would have fitted in well to the way men in that show treat women.
Someone there linked to this post by the young woman in question. Clearly she's got a bit more to her than the length of her skirt.

It’s certainly the present of political parties, if not the future. Having a woman on the top ticket, if not at the very top, is a good way to look sympathetic to female voters
I don't disagree that having women in top positions is a good thing.
But I'm dubious that co-leaders will appeal to any voter base beyond the Greens.
I also find the female/male somewhat arbitrary. I would have thought that two leaders from each treaty partner side would have been just as likely.

Bradford-Goff would have the small problem of once a week Sue being dragged out of Goff's office having occupied it.
They're a long way apart on the political spectrum.

From Pansy:
Further, I am not able at this point to give the Prime Minister an assurance that this is a one-off situation.
That's one way to say it. "Er, I've done this several times" is another.

Sunfish and a right whale? That's about 20 fishing trips worth of incredibly cool. The charter guy will be able to use this trip as marketing for years even if he never sees either of those again.

Edit: ah! If you just go straight to publicaddress.net/system and bypass the front page, you end up with a list of the most ‘recently active’ threads.
Like Gio I only ever went to the system front page, and found the column on the left showed new blog posts (including those which no one had commented on), and the middle column had the most recent discussions. Neither page at present seems to offer that conveniently. The front page has it, but one well on top of the other.

Heh, I just edited a typo I made in a comment from four years ago.
You didn't stop while doing it and think "I need to get out more?" ;)

What I like about the bigger avatars is that finally I can see the photos some have used for theirs – like Kyles. Love that dog, Kyle!
He had two fits yesterday and spent the day with the vet. Seems to be OK now... but no answers yet as to what caused them :(
