  • Hard News: Game Lorde,

Success is a great revenge. Thankfully Sweetman's only in a position to rant impotently from the sidelines.

  • Hard News: Game Lorde,

Just as a break from the crazy, here is a woman making art with her naked body, and a kicking tune as well. NSFW.

  • Hard News: Game Lorde, in reply to Russell Brown,

good on her, if that’s what she wants – and I’m sure she doesn’t even know what she wants – that’s all fine if fame is what you are after.

Can someone give me a list of musicians and performers who'd rather their talent were unrecognised?

A lot of miserable sods are peeved that a NZ artist is making it big, instead of soldiering on in poverty and obscurity like they're supposed to. Shame on them.

And comments about Lorde's "sexualisation"? Jesus fuck. Projecting, much?

    (3) If I give each student three unlabelled learning style descriptions (one matching their type score, one for a type differing on 2 dimensions, and one for the complementary type, differing on all 4 dimensions) then their choices of the “best” learning style description are not significantly above chance.

    That's fascinating!

there’s nothing professional about someone melting down when their plans come unstuck.

Melting down in such a case is PERFECTLY NORMAL!!!

    (told you I was a diehard J :-)

  • Hard News: Game Lorde, in reply to Bart Janssen,

She had high moments and a couple of slips but it didn’t seem like anything went wrong. I think though that some folks wanted perfection and instead they got a real human being.

If you want perfection, get the studio recording. Live performance has the excitement of real-time risk. Electrifying when it goes well, but I doubt many artists get through a whole concert without slip-ups.
