  • Hard News: They can see your house from here,

It bothers me about as much as it would have bothered me when the camera was first invented. Yes, such an amazing device could be used in shonky and dodgy ways, capturing pictures people didn't agree to, and making the recording of what someone looks like 1000 times easier. But then again, it's just cool in it's own right, for a massive range of perfectly legitimate purposes. Which is way more important.

It's hardly a privacy invasion. I do find it funny that you can see the car in my driveway that's currently advertised on TradeMe, so anyone who wants to come and have a look can find out exactly how to do so without actually coming. Since a lot of interested parties are out of town, this might be handy to them. I still have to give them the address, of course.

In some shots you can look straight down....it's quite a strange car they were using to take the shots.

That is some freaky arse shit. I wish you could invert the mouse, like you can in first person shooters. This is going to be sooo handy for travelling around strange places.

  • Public Address Word of the Year 2008,

'Talking Around'. "There will be a lot of talking around the environmental issues". "The first thing we'll do is have a lot of talks with everyone concerned, around what they think can be done to....". Talking about is totally out of fashion.

Overvalued. It implies we know the value.
Package. Everyone's got one, it's always better to have a package than a clue.
Volatility. It sounds so much better than Crash.

@Jackie, my comeback to people moaning about the best and brightest always leaving is to say 'are you saying you are not the best and brightest?' Of course you don't use it on people who have actually left.

Surely morphine has even more severe withdrawal symptoms?

  • Hard News: Just Friday,

Congestion was improved by the Coldral, but the most marked improvement was the pounding headache and low energy levels were all but stopped, and the night formula has the antihistamines that relieve irritation and make you drowsy.

Caffeine has not helped at all, and curiously, I also haven't felt like it. The cold overpowers all withdrawal symptoms, and the Coldral is overpowering the cold. Maybe Coldral could be the wonder-drug for easing addicts off caffeine? :-)

One cup of narsty-arse liquid wouldn't slow Russell down one little bit, the man drinks whiskey! He'd probably like it.

I've been trying various medz too this week, having a horrible cold. Of the legalz, Coldral day/night has been most effective for symptom relief. I did have to say to my chemist "Don't piss me around man, give me some of the good shit" before he'd even think about letting me have it. Sad times we live in.

Smoking anything is definitely out, the irritation from it outweighs all other goods. But vaporization is a different matter...

Russell don't you know that a turd from leadership is merely the manure from which life springs to the minions below? To polish it would be a positive joy.

Randroids are amazing creatures. I wonder if they use the market to drive their cars? If the market says the car is to veer off the road and smash to pieces, killing all the occupants, then it is right, God dammit!
