  • THIS JUST IN,

Kyle when/if a review panel is assembled it is fundamental to Tuhoe/Maori that like the Crown they have an input in who is on the panel. The key to healing will be in honest partnership.
The Crown assumes this right & in partnership it is right the other party (Tuhoe) can put forward members.

I believe Georgina Te Heu Heu would be worthwhile to have on board.

  • THIS JUST IN,

Finn - I think Wellington at 5am might not be as busy as you're making out. As Moana Jackson was the Police College Patron he is qualified to make such statements.

  • THIS JUST IN,

It's always bad to gloat when you're right but I can't recall anyone gloating quite so when they're wrong.

Is Trotter talking about the NZ Army?

"People who think it's OK to train young Maori men to be bodyguards for the Americans in Baghdad."

  • THIS JUST IN,

(It's also been a very draining, disturbing, down-the-rabbithole day in terms of what I've learned about the extent of SIS and police surveillance, but that's another story.)

Stephen - If you have the time I'ld love to hear about that.

David Langes - "New Zealand is positioned like a dagger pointing at the heart of Antarctica" comes to mind on our level of threat.

    TV3 connection again...

Top-level leak of arms case evidence

"Lead lawyer for the accused, Annette Sykes, said the files contained information that even the defendants and their lawyers had not been able to see."

  • Hard News: Scuffling and screaming on…,

    Fair point Che

My view is to wait untill after the court case has started leaves those arrested swinging in the wind a bit too long. I tend to feel safe when marching next to Quakers on both a moral and physical basis.

Che - so you're been there done that already?

Getting the razor out & splitting the hair but anti-police actions in relation to the 17 arrested is not quite the same as anti-police.
Dropped the dime last night infact & they did a mighty fine job.
