WOO-HOO indeed. But would someone tell frigging Reuters that countries don't win Grammies. Only Eurovision, of which least said soonest mended.
Right It was kind of hard to work an Irish angle in to this thread, but Craig inadvertently opened the door. It’s Eurovision time again and Ireland has got its shortlist sorted. The overwhelming favourite with the bookies is Dustin, north Dublin’s best known turkey about town.
Other Eurovision countries are crying fowl. (oouch)
Btw – Congratulations Russell on the new gig, any plans to take it on tour?

I don't think there's an Auckland accent as such, but there are a few markers. Auckland kids play a game called tiggy or tig (I forget which), whereas Wellingtonian kids play tag.
TIG, I believe is the name of an old Gaelic children’s game - a game of chases where the person who is "het" (it !) tries to "tig" (touch) the others. Just to add to the confusion, Tigh pronounced "tig” is also Gaelic for house.

the hollowing out of New Zealand's newsrooms
Back from the holidays and catching up on the goings on at PA, I got to this piece after earlier in the evening reading Con Houlihan’s latest column in the Irish Indo. Con must be well into his eighties and still fighting the good fight. Here he describes the demise of the Irish Press and Evening Press.
Reverse Spin indeed.

Welcome to Wellington over Easter

Just a quick thought on Mr. Henry and the All Blacks, given Mr. Henrys current relationship with the MSM (especially Radio Sport) why not offer him an outlet on PA with his own Blog. The feedback available from the typical PA “player” (and that includes the “not sporty” players) is far superior to anything available in the MSM .

"Iran is inhabited by cute pink fluffy bunnies"
This calls for the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch ... or does that only work with white ones?

Thank you for the thought provoking posts and your nice line in humour. Have fun in your ongoing search for “food and the hot guys” and if your head space is suitably aligned, do take up Russell’s offer to guest post.
