  • Hard News: Because I am weak,

Auckland – City of Sails – Stadium on the Waterfront
Christchurch – Garden City – Jade Stadium
    Wellington – Absolutely Positively
Btw – The Carlaw Park site would make an excellent “Park and Ride” terminus for that public transport thing that you Aucklanders love so much :-)

  • Hard News: Because I am weak,

With the exception of Mr Wevers contribution, the merit of my suggestion of Melbourne is actually starting to grow on me.
Maybe this will help. I have a least two friends who were adamant at the time that Porirua should have been the site of new Wellington replacement for Athletic Park, both of them now deny vehemently ever espousing such and opinion.
The waterfront site is the “best” site, embrace it, get involved, and offer constructive suggestions as to the form and function of the finished stadium. Make it something that all New Zealand can be proud off.
    Don’t fuck it up

  • Hard News: Because I am weak,

Auckland Stadium blah blah blah …. Che Tibby is heading down the right track. Let’s have the final in Melbourne; they have a stadium or 3 not to mention the PT infrastructure, bars and good shopping to boot. The government could subsidise the travel and accommodation costs for AB supporters visiting our home away from home, (a bit like sending people “into the west” for medical treatment). Who knows, by 2011 Australia might be part of Aotearoa anyway, we have the water.

And yes the AB’s were awesome, they deserver better than the bollox going on at home.

  • The NZ Web's greatest hits (and misses),

Nostlagia - I went to the Aardvark site today for the first time in an age (nice makeover) and lo and behold Bruce was having a go at Telecom, the more things change the more they stay the same.

Other sites from back in the day and still going strong include NZ Racing, and Lucire (from kilbirnie to the world)

  • What do you want them to play at your funeral?,

"Phuck U Symphony" - Millie Jackson, my friends would get the joke.
Hope There's Someone - Antony & the Johnsons, because Antony Hegarty should be played at all funerals.
