Thanks Russell
Hope there's only one truth and you're not going all pomo on us? -
And Key had the audacity, in the statement read a few minutes ago on Radio NZ National, to say the report proved a negative. Amazing how the universe follows different laws on PlanetKey.

"Lawyerworld is a strange place."
Especially Graeme's. This article unfortunately is a mishmash and needs rewriting, not only for the update but also for the categorical statement of Brownlee's innocence. As has already been pointed out, knocking? on a door and going through when it's opened, is not the same being given permission. -
Is NZ such a small place that we need to have lightweight selfish stirrers with a stated philosphy of "low taxes" and "tough on welfare" as public commentators?
Perhaps it's a mistaken striving for "balance", instead of truth? A crime many journalists are inculcated in.
Here's an example of the poor fellow unable to keep his mouth shut:

I have no candle for David either way, but I know tosh when I read it. And this meaningless tosh from James is completely devoid of policy, analysis or sensible argument. It fails to consider the short time Cunliffe had as leader. Its argument that age is particularly relevant is pathetic. Its plaintive tone is likewise forced and pathetic. Given the real problems NZ faces, I'm disppointed this crap has even seen the light of day. Shame Russell for following MSM agenda. This is not news.

3. It also fails because NZ electorate seats are far from being decided democratically. Counting them under a preferential system where

Keith linked to it and was probably trying to make the points it made, but didn't do quite as good a job as Jay.In particular, Keith seems to think "journos" try to hold pollies to account. If they do, and that's debatable, they do so within a flawed framework that discounts truth in favour of entertainment, saviness, HeSaidSheSaid journalism and HorseRace journalism. Patrick Gower blocked me on twitter for saying this about his "journalism".
