Language changes, that’s a simple historical fact. The meanings of words change as part of that, as can be seen in the multitudes of definitions listed for each word in dictionaries.
Have been listening to this on long jouneys, fascinating stuff.

Judith Collins compared with Diana
What the fuckity fuck fuck fuck……
Diana was an innocent that a jealous public turned on, who was then persued to death by a ravenous media.
Collins, on the other hand, was ravenous, jelaous public servant that persued an innocent media to death.
Yeah, well maybe not so innocent but…. -

Part of the problem is that the unthinking voters don’t go to political meetings
I had a conversation with a friend last night. When l say friend I mean someone l have spoken to many times, we have visited each others houses and so… friends.
However, our conversation turned to the election and he was adamant that he will be voting National, he says he is right wing he knows I am not bet hey…I said “How can you vote for them after hearing all this dirty politics stuff?”
He said ” Oh that’s just rubbish”
” have you read it?” l asked
“Nah, everybody knows its just nothing, trivial stuff”
I asked him where he got his news from “Tvnz, tv3, the Herald?”
“Nah, none of those, that’s all biased”
“Your telling me” I said “its all just National party propaganda”
” Left wing more like it” he snorted.
“So where do you get your facts?”
“From people who know what they are talking about, business people”
“People like John Key, that man couldn’t lie straight in bed” I retorted.
He snarled slightly and leaned forward ” He’s better than that idiot Cunliffe”
“You really have been sucked in, haven’t you” I was taken aback.
The conversation continued with him saying he was more interested in policy than muckraking, I asked what policies he had heard from National and he just said nothing should change as the country was doing so well. I challenged him on a few other things but gradually realised that I might as well have been talking to a Hitler supporter.
Let us all hope, that at the end of the day, God wins. -

I rarely listen to afternoons on Nat Rad because it’s a bit soft and squishy. But I was amazed that DL’E-C (is that a valid abbreviation?) was able to TELL COMPLETE AND UTTER LIES unopposed.
There, fixed it for you...

I’d like to respectfully point out to those unthinking voters that our young men and women – your friends and comrades – did not die on foreign battlefields for this kind of muck to be happening in our society or for it to be sanctioned by the highest levels in Government
This.

My computer is behaving like a sloth
Having trouble with my remote machine, the one up North. Traffic bursts around midnight lasting through the night then stopping around 7.My guess is a bot kicking in and who knows how widespread, I do take reason able security precautions.. Traffic peaking around 1.2Mbps, which is average for that connection but seems asynchronous, mostly upload. Luckily my connection capped out at 5 gig after 3 days. So, If you have received Viagra ads from me in the last few days, sorry. ;-)
On my way up there to see what the problem is. -

so presumably he’s no longer living
I can imagine the scenario.
"Hey John, this guy Ede could drop us right in the milkshed runoff if he opens his mouth"
"You're right Steve, loose lips sink Shits at the end of the day"
"End of the day, I see what you mean, nudge nudge"
Yes, preferably before lunchtime akshully"
We would have to be super careful not to be found out"
"Why, we just say its stupid for people to think we would do that sort of thing and even if we did, everybody accidentally shoots people sometimes, Dick Cheney springs to mind"
"You are right john, as always, by lunchtime then" -

The fact that he hasn’t been sacked and discredited
Well, publicly, at least.
Is he even alive?
