You're probably right, but framing this whole thing as "the privatising Gecko's of Epsom are taking over" does nothing for me at all.
Talk about the lack of democracy, talk about the removal of a local voice, and talk about a group of people stuck in the past in terms of both good-growth and planning. Please do, someone needs to. But if you're trying to talk to me, this "Illuminati elite are staging a coup" flavour just distracts from the issues. -
The Great Ride could start at Tank Farm too, so many "synergies" man!
Is there still time to get the work included in the clipon strengthening? Or has that already started?

There is no physical barrier from the clipons to the centre-half, there were up to 5000 people there, and some of those people had just demonstrated their willingness to wonder out on to open, active motorway in the interests of protest.
I don't think shutting that down is necessarily quite the conspiracy it's being made out to be.Please note thatI support the intent of the protest, and am really impressed by the ongoing efforts of the Getacross crowd to make access a reality. NZTA were clearly dicks both leading up to and on the day and entirely should have allowed the protest to go ahead.

Well Nick, I'd say you've just demonstrated why they needed to close both sides - you had people walking across both sides!
Considering it had been started by, frankly, idiots running/cycling out on to an open motorway I fail to see why anyone should assume that the protest would have stayed on one side only. -
Also, what are the chances of applying for this to be done as a "Great Ride"?

So Chuck, you keep an open mind on things and don't jump to any conclusions and are saying that anything could have happened here, we just don't know. That even though there is consistent evidence in one direction, a jury decision, and a judge that agreed, we still don't really know. Right?

As someone who came relatively late to the Box and Celebre (mid-later90s) due to birthdate can I just say a genuine Thanks for building it to such an institution in time for my poorly-botched "ID" to be usable.
While there's always great enjoyment to be had in being at the vanguard of something like that, it also meant a lot of fun to those of us who hit it at it's later peak.Any house record I've subsequently played was kicked off by exposure to sets by the Robs, Soane, Claire, and Greg et al down there. Any particular reason for the air quotes?
A slow brain past 5pm that couldn't think of the right term to use so quoted it as a "ya know, clearancey thingy". Nothing sinister or contrary intended.
