Field Theory: Straight for the throat, in reply to
you're going too, right?
Yep.
It would be nice if either team still had a chance of qualifying by this stage. Although I guess Samoa would still be alive if they lose to Wales. They'd just have to beat Fiji and then Sth Africa on the 30th. Easy.
It would be so good if one unheralded team could make it through the opening rounds. Today's game is at 2.30pm, right? Think I could pull the old 'working from home' trick?

There's so much bleating going on about the bloody side show, thank Dog we will have some more Rugby tonight to distract us. Samoa should be good to watch.
When I flippantly asked elsewhere about the whole partay central debacle 'who's in charge then?', a friend kindly reminded me 'Richie McCaw'.
I felt better immediately.

The after match interviews and prize-givings do bring some real chestnuts, but that was cruel and unusual punishment.
Not quite the same, but watching the after match interviews with Serena Williams and Sam Stosur at the US Open, it was clear who the American commentators wanted more time with. I found myself saying quietly [sic] to the television 'you lost, shut up and let Sam talk'.
Sam Stosur deserves an extra medal for the quiet, unassuming and graceful way she accepted her trophy in the shadow of a giant. She even thanked her! I would have been proud to be an Australian yesterday. Hell, I was proud being related to some.
This won't apply to the Rugby though. We're not here to make friends.

I know this is sacrilege round these parts, but I'm not sure how 'unrelated' to Creedleback that statement is. :) #hashtagwhichexpressesgeneralmehnessaboutalltheirworkafterKilljoy
Visiting hours are between 8.30am and 4.30pm. I'll be in the ward marked 'Shihad Recovery Unit - Do Not Regurgitate'.

You know what, why don't we just build a bridge and get over it?. Preferably with light rail and cycle tracks attached.
Just trying to be helpful, honest.

Creedleback.
Do you mind, I'm trying to eat my lunch. Urban dictionary is becoming a great source for humour. In unrelated news, Shihad just walked into a cafe in Kingsland. Anyone got a guitar?

A Nickelback booking?
Their new album is out in November, so be careful what you wish for.
Arrrghhh!

The D-Ring at the main stage was introduced after some really dangerous crowd surges when (ugh) Limp Bizkit played, and it has prevented a repeat of that.
Anything that prevents a repeat visit from Limp Bizkit is Ok in my book. ;-)
Anyone else going to the free concert in Shed 10 tonight? Actually, please don't, so I can have more space to myself.

You're not talking about the black jersey worn by Mr Sonny Delight himself, I take it?
No, I was talking about the English underarm re-oderant shirt. It stinks. The numbers were even falling off in protest.

Oh and if you are gonna shut the street why, oh why then barrier the streets to try to create single files?
This has been my biggest take out beef with recent BDOs. Get a whole lot of excited inebriants (not a word?) and close them in a confined space in front of stage with no easy exits. Crowds do tend to self regulate, as long as they have the room.
I agree, those daffy taffies played a blinder...
Apart from the result, one of the most encouraging games of rugby I've seen so far. They should be extremely proud. I'd like to see them get through to the knock-outs, and scare a few people.
